William Holden also, in a drunken stupor, slipped on a rug hit head on night stand , lost consciousness , found 4 days later.
I was wrong, Mitcham died of complications with lung cancer due to heavy smoking. It was William Holden that died locked in his house but the LE found it suspicious buy later the coroner ruled it to be self inflicted and accidental.

It would have been difficult for one or more people to throw the body over the fence, and have it be in the posture I saw. If the police thought there was some possibility of foul play, most likely they would have stayed at the scene for more than two hours.
It does not appear to be foul play, he could have slipped in his attempt to get into the dumpster enclosure and went head first into the pavement or struck his head on the metal dumpster, or he could have fallen down long before he got to the dumpster.

There were no dumpsters in the enclosure at that time. It's unlikely that someone threw the body into the enclosure. The body position would likely have been different, and I think there are security cameras in the area.

This is the building:

West side of Sherbourne, between Dundas East and Shuter. The body was near the red arrow at lower left.

A few weeks ago, I saw the local hawk eating a pigeon beside the enclosure fence.

Remember one day working at the airport, received a call from operations to assist the police in the terminal to parking level garage. Grabbed a coworker and we proceeded to go to the parking garage, found several police officers around the car went up asked how can we be a of assistance. Very simple answer get into the trunk at any costs, so took a heavy duty screwdriver and hammer banged the crap out of the trunk, then it popped open by maybe to 3 inches. The officer put his hand on top of the trunk and told us that would be all we can go. So picked up our tools went to the stair hallway and waited there. I told Buddy there it's a drug bust, boy was I wrong about 10 minutes later we popped out heads from the stairwell and they had a guy in there in the fetal position just looked like he was sleeping and we found out how do the gangsters say it "to taps to the head". We later found out it was a contract hit and during winter time a lot more bodies were being disposed of at the airport. It gives a whole new meaning to park and fly.

Guy could've overdosed. It's a daily event in every major city these days.

That wouldn't explain how he got in the dumpster area. There's a fence about eight feet tall around it, and the door was locked.

I think he was just dying to see what was in other people's garbage.

Not quite dead but similar to story above. I was driving to work early one morning and saw a guy peacefully lying stretched out with his head on the sidewalk and his body in the first lane of traffic waiting to be run over. Luckily I saw him in time and braked. Otherwise I would have driven straight over him. Another guy pulled up ahead of me and we both lifted him onto the sidewalk. Looked at each other without saying a word. Shook our heads, and carried on our way.
