Bingo.

So if damage is less than $1,000, no CRC?

So what's the limit for calling the cops?
My nephew actually was involved in a minor collision, with a scratch to the side door. The police was RIGHT THERE to see it. It wasn't his fault, and he asked police to stop and handle it. Police said it is too minor of an scratch to waste his time, and left, and advised him to just call insurance company or settle it privately, since it was only a couple of hundred dollar worth of damage. So I beleive $1000 is the limit to call police.

That I know.

I think the limit used to be $700.

I only question the police call limit due to Gameboy's post about threshold for going to the CRC.
