I understand the fathers pain - losing a child must be devestating.

Where he loses me is when he calls 'Canada unsafe' and that 'Canada is nothing'

Listen pal - nobody made you come here and nowhere in any of the investigations do the police say that this was a 'random' incident.

In other words your kid was up to something or was involved in something that put him in danger. I never heard the "wrong place at the wrong time' statement either.

What gets me is that people from all over the world come here for a better life and oppourtunites but when something goes bad they are the first ones to call Canada out.

Maybe I'm being a little harsh but thats my take on it.

At least 6 friends of the deceased saw and knew the real shooter yet NONE would testify. Why isn't the Somali community upset with them?

This is the real issue right here. The legal system cannot function without cooperation from the community. When the accused offends again (and he will) whatever happens will be as much their fault as his. I hope they can live with that.

Don't forget the family friend on tv last also who disrespected Canada with her comments. When you speak emtionally and you tend to speak irrationally. I say let it slide. The family has been through enough and now they still have an unsolved murder of a loved one to deal with.

The 4 witnesses of the shooting are too scared to testify against the shooter. Think about for a second, if you saw a high ranking mobster, for example John Gotti, do a hit would you testify against him?

This was a street punk, hardly a "high ranking mobster". Stop making excuses for this group. There were witnesses who refused to co-operate, in effect they supported the shooter. They have nothing to complain about since it was their own community that refused to support the prosecution of the shooter.

My guess is that the shooter will become the subject of a revenge killing. And all the problems that they "ran away" from, will suddenly appear here.
