Yeah, I agree. The one announcer who said it will be "played for decades" name was TOM and he WON a British Open. I don't know who the annoucers were, but I'm guessing it might have been TOM WATSON who is considered a GOD over there.

If you were watching the coverage, ESPN should a few examples of that type of shot. Rare, yes, mainly because there is no hole like it anywhere else.

We will probably be seeing a lot more videos like that. Everyone playing at that course with an iPhone will take a crack at the shot and record it.
An amazing shot, true. But it has been done during previous Opens. Don't remember who or when, but I've seen it on TV as part of the highlights.
