Got a phone message from a gentleman at CRA, advising me or my attorney to call immediately, otherwise dire legal troubles will fillow.

I wonder if it has something to do with the cheque I am waiting for from Nigeria??i

I actually had a chat with YRP, This is a common phishing scam. LMAO if the CRA wants to find you, they will. They have powers that the police envy.

Yeah, I've got this one too. The callback number has a 321 area code, which is in Florida. Maybe, just maybe, it's not legit.

If it's not a legal document either or a T1 or T5, it's not the CRA. They don't give notices of assessment over the phone. The last faux CRA agent that phoned me, I told him to bacia mi culo.

I've gotten this call and I'm not sure what they have called multiple times. The first time I played along and pretended that I was slow on the uptake and needed everything repeated 2 or more times as well as repeated what I heard usually wrong. It was kind if funny that they stayed on the phone with me for 35 to 40 minutes. I kind if trailed off toward the end and just stopped responding. Another time I told them I was the CRA and damn did that phone get hung up fast.

I once said that I'm willing to pay and asked how to transfer them money and the assholes were so disorganized that they couldn't properly connect me to their boss and the call got disconnected. Accents were Nigerian.

I did similar and by the end they told me I would be arrested and spend many years in prison. I told them since they know where I live come get me. About 6-8 months later got a similar call and played along. When they pulled out the you will be arrested card told them I am still home waiting for the police from last time around.

My favourite is when Windows calls. They get really pissed when you ask questions or make a mistake on the instructions.
