So later yesterday evening I decided that today, Sunday (Father’s Day), would be a good day to strike a name from my TDL. I looked through my India list and sent off an email to my top choice – no I don’t have her phone#. Then I scanned through the late night agency postings and put together a contingency plan, in case ‘top choice’ didn’t pan out. Last thing before bed I popped a half a C pill ($17.58 ÷ 2) and slid off into dreamland.
By 11:00am my email box was still empty so I went to plan B and started calling the Agency of my #2 choice. After 10 min of busy signals I expanded my search to two more agencies and another indie lady – all busy, but left a VM for the indie. Just after 11:30am I got an answer from #1 agency and made a date for 2:00pm – did a little happy dance.
I arrived at the downtown the vicinity of the incall location about 1:20pm, found a nice parking space under a shady tree on a quiet side street and… something told me to check my phone before I settled back to relax – I always keep it on vibrate. So guess what? There was a message from the agency asking me to call. It seems that the lady of my desires had not showed up or been heard from. What to do? They offered me another lady, but she didn’t sound appealing to me. They offered to call me back later, when the lady was available, but I explained that I was working within a small window of opportunity. Ho hum, thanks anyway.
I tried calling a couple more of the downtown agencies, and the rest of the indies on my list, but came up empty.
So here I am – I have a loaded pistol but nowhere to shoot it. Now I know how those Toronto Gun Club Members must feel.
Well, at least I hadn’t paid for the on-street parking yet.
