It’s s kid? That’s shitty. I knew I’d regret posting this.

No one to blame but myself.
Mom thought it was funny too. That’s why she was filming.

Mom was consoling daughter who was upset over the lightning, not connecting ‘lighting’ to the fact that son was standing in or near water with a metal pole pointed to the sky.

Mom then uploaded the video or handed it off to be uploaded.

All that plus as it turns out the kid wasn’t actually struck makes this pretty funny IMO.

“It was morning, I was with my daughter in the room calming her, because she is scared of lightning,” said Carolina Kotur. “My son was walking in the rain and I started filming because I was making a joke.”

That’s when the lightning bolt struck down, nearly hitting him.

Though the bolt missed the 12-year-old, it did set a nearby fence on fire.

Looks like it hit the tree in the background. I've been nearly that close to a lightning strike, maybe about 40 ft. away, and WOW the amount energy there.

Doesn't even look like it was close.

Sorry OP but I didn't find it funny, not because it was offensive (love seeing funny videos of people getting injured) but for some reason it was just meh...

Laughing at someone getting hurt is sadly fairly natural. See someone slip and fall and you generally laugh first, then feel sorry/concerned. Watch 1000 Ways to Die on TV and you're laughing at some of the different ways people ended up dead.

This one is amazing.

Love how the Quebecers switch from Quebecois to English when it happens.
