House of Cards proves that Kevin Spacey is a colossus - currently being cut down by a human deer tick.

Anthony Rapp is a black hole, he sucks all the energy out of ST:discovery and his co-actors hate him. Unfortunately he cannot be fired, he's an aggressive political animal, his best acting comes from being a victim. The galling part is slave mongers Tom Cruise and John Travolta have done infinitely worse, yet they get away with it. All Kevin Spacey is guilty of is not being able to hold his liquor. He thought he could make it on sheer talent alone, a momentary lapse of reason - and nothing more, brought him down. Yellow Hollywood threw him under a bus, maybe he should have become a Scientologist.

The bizarro world of Scientology never ends. They are attempting to smear Paul Haggis (writer of Due South and Million Dollar Baby) in court on a trumped up rape charge. He left the cult and openly criticized them, they want pay back. At the same time their is ruction within the cult itself. Devout Scientologist Danny Masterton (That 70's show) has been accused of raping three female Scientologist members. How these trials play out will show how much clout the cult still has in that yellow outhouse known as Hollywood.

Look, I loved Kevin Spacey. He was amazing in virtually everything he appeared in, from Swimming with Sharks and the Usual Suspects, to House of Cards and even K-Pax. But Rapp isn't the only person accusing him of horrible things. There were, at one point, 30 men claiming everything from sexual assault to just plain creepy behaviour. Now, I can understand that some of these claims could be fictitious. It really is difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to these allegations. There could be some who just want to get a bit of fame for being attached to a famous person, some might think they could get a cash settlement, some could have mental illnesses. We don't know. But, there is a strong chance that he took liberties with people. And, it gets more sensational because he's gay and all his "victims" were men.

Now, compare that to rockers from the 70s and 80s. You hear stories about Jimmy Page grooming 14 year old groupies, or other stars literally drugging and raping girls and young women. At the time, nobody cared. Many of the girls didn't, and if they did, the stigma of the assault would be on them, since it was common to blame the victims back then.

Basically, what I'm saying is, Spacey does not deserve a free pass for any of the alleged shitty things he did. I think he is a phenomenal talent, but I just don't believe that he didn't do anything that would be troubling. But, we'll see what a court says.
