Huge Bust In "Barrie"

Apparently over 100 police stormed the old Molson Brewery in Barrie last night and found the largest marijuana grow operation in Ontario History. This building is right on 400, talk about hiding in the open!

Can you imagine how many plants can fit in a building 120,000 sq. ft.

You better be more concerned about the grow houses that may be on your own street. In the past, homes have exploded due to the nature of the setup. There were 3 busts on my street in the past year - no criminal charges laid just theft-under for hydro use. The guys just sell the house and move on, preferring large homes. The way to spot them is there's usually no one home, one or more windows cracked open year-round, van comes and goes, smell of air freshener to combat the odour. Real estate agents are usually in on it since they save paying commission. Orientals like this game.

Usually one of the factors that gives it away, is it's the only home on the street with no snow on the roof. High heat and humidity escaping through the roof.

Yeah the OPP said 30,000 plants, $1,000 each pot plant (street value). Thats a lot of cash. They were not that big from what i saw on TV, maybe as tall as 2- 3 feet.

What would be the street value of a plant reaching 6 feet in height!!??

wow if there is one place like this I wonder how many others like it are around the block ect that we drive past every day ........what would it cost to set up and run a place like that ........and if there are safety issues with one small house what problems could have come out of such a huge process!! Boggles my mind.

LOL, according to the news, these guys were making in excess of
$100 mill per year. I love how the media fabricates numbers

Oh, how I miss pulling off the 400 on the way north, and having some guy stash the beer in the trunk for me. A true drive though experience.
