yes, i tried this. interesting experiences. if you have questions, post 'em and i can answer more specifically. there seemed to be several types on the site, from the serious SBs looking for traditional SDs, to very young girls looking for cell phone bill help. the experianced SBs were looking for $2000/month plus allowances, with some willing to meet very often, others only once a week. the younger ones were 19-20 (seemed about right from the face to face conversations), very eager, but not very good technically (they get by on being young...i think guys their age are just happy to do it...so they don't learn anything). not very responsive to oral, one was surprised/embarassed when i got her to squirt (was fun actually!). young bodies, but not fit (older women go to gyms...these girls are again getting by on pure youth). young ones wanted tuition help (i'm sure one was scanning me for drug money...), cell phone money. i don't think i'm going to continue...it's more expensive than visiting a real professional @250/hr. the young ones don't have their own place, so you're looking at $300/week + hotel. Can be overnight, but they're too young to do much else (other than sex), so what are you going to do for more than a couple off hours?
So when you meet first you get to the hotel and get down to business rightaway or you discuss to know expectations from either parties by meeting at some public place first like a bar or just talk on the phone ?

I also had good luck on CL a few years back but also haven't done it recently. I think the golden age for this sort of thing has gone... back then the girls I found were young and hot, and the non-pro's really didn't charge all that much, and many of them were doing it for a lark.
Now that it's become much more popular and an industry has grown up around it my suspicion is that it's gone the way of dating websites.. a wasteland of tier 2 girls who expect too much for too little. However, I say that having only stuck my toe in the water, I haven't put nearly as much time into it recently as I did a few years back.

I was reading an article a couple of weeks ago about the hobbying scene in North America and it said there has been a shift in the desires of guys who are hobbyists. Previously, guys just wanted sex with a hot girl and didn't want to know much about her, and in most cases preferred variety to repeats. In the last few years though there has been a shift to wanting mistress-type (SB) relationships where the client gets to know the girl, repeats, and is one of a select few guys she sees for a retainer rather than hourly fee. One reason suggested is that in past decades clients were married and got the companionship angle from their SO, but wanted sexual variety from another woman and not any emotional connection. In the current era a lot of younger guys are just too busy with work to get married, or don't want to put up with the hassles of marriage, so they just pay for sex. However, sex with no emotional bonding in one's life from any female can be unattractive, so they are going for SD and intense SP-regular type relationships where they really get to know the provider and aren't just the faceless 2pm 60 min date. They meet once a week, have dinner off the clock, go to movies/theatre, and usually neither the girl or client are in serious relationships with anyone (civilian) else. So both client and provider know real names, go to each other's places rather than to hotels, know their favourite colour, political views, family, etc. Basically a FWB type thing, only a monthly retainer is involved.
ophss...meant to reply to yahoo40 some quick message posting back and forth (longer messaging with more detail seems to work...got feedback about girls getting a flood of malformed rude messages...not unexpected, but jarring to the girls new to this). messages were around expectations (how often, how discrete vs public, etc...), initial costs discussed (have your own place? need to use my place? hotel? range for monthly? travel interests?) and logistics (your location, your schedule). 1st meeting was public place...bar, restaurant. if we got to bar/restaurant, then i always got to the hotel or their place the following week. then got down to business, since we both new why we were there....nice and long though...several hours, no rush, can talk (like the later posters describe...it's more of a NSA relationship on a retainer than a SP). one girls wanted to talk on the phone before meeting...the rest wanted face to face fast if they were interested at all
yes, that's what i found. one wanted two much ($1,500/month + shopping + hotel/appt support) for too little. she said she was available as often as i wanted, then after the first retainer payment (after the 1st hotel romp), she disappeared until she needed money. her 'i'm so broke...' txt message was not a turn-on. another was much better...$300/week for honest, enthusiastic fun sex. she just wasn't very experianced/good at it....suppose if you like to teach, it could be fun. but for $300+hotel, i think a SP would provide some variety and better sex? likely simpler logistics....stop by somewhere on the TCC from downtown for an hr..
OK here is my story . few months ago I met a non-pro girl via CL . As It was my first time for this kind of arrangement I didnt pick up the signs and more likely I want to give it a chance at least once . The end result was that she took 300 dollars in the hotel room and fled.
I didnt force here to stop as it was too much stress the way she was acting.

hmm...didn't happen that way for me...after the 1st coffee or dinner and drinks meeting, it was clear what both parties were going to do. sex and money. from the conversations (except for the one who wanted 'tuition'), they were a bit unsure about how to handle the money part (i may be stupid sometimes, but these ones acted like they were new to this...were giving their stuff to boyfriends who didn't give anything back...were happy to get something). i think the one that i did the interac online transfer was simplest...interesting...i would transfer before we met in the hotel, had fun sex for a couple of hours. never got stood up.

hey, in any case, i'm thinking at these prices, a good downtown near TTC line (or near 401/427 mississauga...i work at two locations during the week) incall seems a better value (DM, Girlfriends seem well reviewed). i can try black, asian, greek. i think i will do what Rono above suggested...SP for the variety, cost effectiveness, professionalism.
I have done some fishing in a variety of spots, including the site mentioned by the OP. CL has brought in a good haul, depending on the lure and how you cast. Responses have varied, but have generally been decent enough to keep. One I kept for 6 months, another for 8, and that one did some real honest work for me too. With the arrangementseekers, the demands of the ladies seem to vary considerably, from a one-off date to a once -a-month fling, to a per-day hire. One quoted $2,500 per day for "company"! She has another job (and a hubby, it seems, as she was careless with her email habits) which may be less rewarding than being on-line. Fishing can be fun, you don't necessarily keep all you catch. Some are more like trophy catches, some you toss back and some you eat for supper.

There are far too many types of arrangements available to be mentioned but I am sure that anyone with realistic needs can find something or someone to serve them.
I personally have had a variety of arrangements that worked well for both of us until the time came to move on.
The simplest was a weekly arrangement, He was in town for a month on business and wanted someone at the same time every day,,,,yes,,,,,every day lol. So, from Monday through Friday I was not available to anyone else between 4 and 7. He arrived at 5, left at 6:30. I kept the hour before and after free just in case he wanted to come by earlier or stay later. He paid 1K Every Monday. It was a terrific arrangement and we became very good friends. I honestly cried when he went back to his own Country. We still email from time to time.
