I used to really love Howard but now he has become too respectable and is kind of dull.

Get woke go broke they say. Which makes sense PC kills humour and you only need to look at what the left members have done to this site. Don't know what his ratings are but I stopped listening mid 2019 and really should have way before that.

Really? Probably because the climate changed when Trump became president. Being edgy isn’t entertaining anymore and was getting old. So he changed his persona.

Stern just matured thru years of therapy. Now he mostly gives therapy to or gets advice from guests - the Kevin Hart interview Wednesday was amazing. Really more of an entrepreneurial masterclass - Kevin Hart is a goddamn wonder.

There aren't any hot girls kissing, fathers undressing daughters, or anal ring toss anymore. The thinking is that with his daughters now adults, it's just embarrassing for him.

I'm a longtime listener, but it really IS getting more boring - I know way too much about Chris Wilding, Mamet, Marianne, and KoaB. And really they're not interesting people, although that's Stern's magic - making Wendy the Slow Adult fascinating.

The entire SiriusXM network dies when he quits in five years (he just renewed and was VERY vocal about it being the end). They keep trying with new shows (now Kevin Hart), but Spotify made a STELLAR move grabbing Joe Rogan and shows like Stern will just become podcasts on free podcast networks.

Which is why Stern hates podcasts. *lol*

Since Colin Quinn joined Norton & Roberts (C103), it's become required listening. Bloomberg radio, is also very informative.

I've been listening to Stern since the 90's. He'd be off the air without The Great Dell'Abate.

Stern is trying to kill his audience by continuously mentioning his brain dead trophy wife. Folks that remember how memorable Alison was, the boredom must be excruciating. Of course I switch channels, it's not good to fall asleep at the wheel.

I think Stern was at his funniest in the 90s when he was still on regular radio.
Comedy doesn't have a long shelf life. Tough to maintain certain standards for decades. He was still funny those first few years on Sirius when Artie was still there.
However all funny programs wear thin after a while.
Look at The Simpsons.

The KC Armstrong era, he was a piece of work. At any moment he could kill everyone and live happily ever after.

Howard lost part of his edge by not being able to persuade KRock General Manager Tom Chiusano to join his team at Sirius. He was constantly the butt end of jokes but when matters went out of control, he didn't hesitate to show the iron fist.

I'm happy to report that KC Armstrong is now clean and sober.
