How would you split 10 points among beauty inside and outside?

Here's the scenario. You are about to choose a SO, and are given 10 points. You can allot those 10 points any way you want toward your SO's physical beauty and inner beauty. So if I give 10 points to outer beauty and 0 points to inner beauty, the SO is drop-dead gorgeous but is a disgusting person. If I give 0 points to outer beauty and 10 to inner beauty, she's disgusting to look at, but a wondeful person inside. A 5-5 split would mean average in both departments. Here's how I would split the 10 points:


Outer Beauty: 4.5
Inner Beauty: 5.5

In all honesty, if she was going to be my SO I would automatically be giving her more than 10 points. If she was less than 7 and 7 I wouldn't be marrying her in the first place. (Unless her family was wealthy, of course.)

Now that I think about it, she'd have to be at least 8.5 inside and 7 outside.

Well I don't have an SO but I always use a 30 scale, 10 for looks, 10 for intelligence, 10 for emotions....any woman I have ever been or will be attracted to has to score a 20 or better.

It is not like I sit there and assign numbers, this practise is just a rule of thumb for me.....a way to externalize my desires....

My biggest love was a 27/28 and with all that going on she was a basketcase.....the best and worst relationship I ever had. I tell ya, it was a ride of a lifetime and will never be forgotten....

That's a fair enough question, but when you put it in terms of picking an SO it makes it more difficult to answer because an SO is supposed to be someone special. 5/10 in looks and 5/10 in inner beauty is pretty ordinary, not special.

...what do you mean by "emotions" if she was a basketcase?

I am kinda thinking you meant how mature / levelheaded / normal / reasonable the person was insofar as managing their emotions, but it appears you meant something else?

I'd agree with your system for the most part...I just have reached the point however where looks don't mean that much to me over an extended period. I mean, like any guy I find hot women hot, and my wife will probably tell you that I check out women all the time (she usually doesn't mind much...though as she gets older and less happy with her 40+ post baby body it seems to bother her more than when we were dating or first married). But insofar as considering an SO? Looks....just over rated IMHO. So long as I think she is attractive, how attractive to me seems irrealevant over the long haul....

All I'm saying is that if the best is a score of 10 between the two stats I'll jerk off or pay someone else to do it.

But if I must play along then I'd say 5/10 for looks and 5/10 for inner beauty and 1/6 bullets from a revolver for my head.

I mean 5 being average is a must for looks or inner beauty if they were below average in either category then that's someone that doesn't make it to SO status for me.

I'd rather be alone than settle.
