How to tackle the subjectivity of looks

We all read reviews.
We read how the reviewed sp got an 8/10 in looks so we quickly look an appointment.
We are so eager to see this pretty girl that was rated by a terbite as 8/10.
Then we open the door and like a slap to the face, the girl looks more like a 4/10...

How often does this happen?

Doesn't it ruin the experience when your expectations are not met?

What do you think of having some sort of comparison site?
Compare an SP to some famous celebrities or photos found on the internet?

For example, Tonya from Roommates has been compared to Tila Tequila in looks. This lends itself to more objectivity than a 8/10.
What if there is a good database of photos that we can use to compare the looks with an SP?

Would this work? Is it allowed?
Would we get objections from the SPs?

Frankly I'm tired of reading reviews and having to deconstruct the review/reviewer to make sure their idea of beauty is the same as mine.
I have to spend a long time reading past reviews of the SP, past reviews of the reviewers, etc just to have a remote idea of the attractiveness of an SP.

Not a bad idea. Reviewers might also compare their looks to celebrities so that we could get an idea of how our mileage might vary. Of course, there could still be some residual subjectivity involved. I think I most resemble Brad Pitt while others have compared me to Fred Flintstone.

Sorry but this is is one of the dumber posts on TERB. All serious SPs have pix that give you a general idea of what you are getting. True, without showing the face you don't get a complete picture. But you do get a good look at the body type. The ad's or website's text also tells a lot.

What about personality? What about your mood at the time? What about your personality and looks? It's all part of the chemistry.

If worst comes to worst, you can always send them away but being a TERBite and a gerntleman, you offer a cancellation fee.

I'm a face guy so quite often. Hate turning girl down better for her to be disappointed for 5 mins than my 45 mins agony. I'm a MP guy.

Often times the website and ad does not show the face.
The body type is not what I'm suggesting we compare with a celebrity.

A comparison to a celebrity (or porn star) is more objective than giving a rating don't you think? (I know that it's not 100% objective)
My 8/10 could be another person's 4/10.
But if I say she looks like Lucy Liu instead of 8/10, people can judge themselves.

We're specifically talking about facial looks in this thread, the originator knows there are other factors to look into when booking, like service and attitude, but as far as looks, looking at the lady's website gives you no idea when they hide their face. I've seen ladies that have wicked bodies in their pics and then be disappointed as my expectations were not met. Conversely, there have are many ladies who are a little on the chubby side but have gorgeous faces.
I don't agree comparing to famous people, thats also subjective, but I do agree to cancelling your appointment if you're disappointed when you arrive and offer her a cancellation fee. In my hobby career, lol, I've done this once and should have done it another time but way too horny.

One of the things that gets me in regards to subjects like this is the fact that guys, we're not marrying them! If you're not happy with her facially then either turn her over or just deal with it for the 30 or 60 minutes. I mean really in all my years of hobbying I have yet to find a woman who was so unattractive to me that I just couldn't continue.....

there will always be a degree of subjectivity in all reviews; whether you compare them to celebrities or not. I once compared an sp to celine dion and alot of posters disagreed.

I also think women look different depending on how they are feeling, if they are tired, start of the day versus the end of the day, and of course all this is dependent on your experience. if you had a good experience then it will colour your perceptions

I find that often too, guys can be hardly objective on rating sp's looks, some tend to overrate the looks when get very satisfied by sp's service.
Anyway I don't rely on other guys description about a sp's look
simplyaguy you are really a hard working guy spending lots of time doing homework, your idea is novel and interesting, but I think for many reasons it's not very practical

This is why you must post your own reviews. After awhile, you'll find that certain posters are more similar to your tastes and then you'll follow their recommendations...my tasyes are similar to Mr.DT

exactly right. this is why its helpful for members to post reviews of even well reviewed ladies- it helps build a track record from which we can determine if we have the same taste in sps

This is true. I find that many women (myself included) can look like an 8 one day and a 6 on another day....This can be due to fatigue or stress or maybe it's just aging - it never seemed to be like that when I was 19, lol.

Back in my agency days, I knew another SP (who shall remain nameless - she's now retired) who would look gorgeous earlier in the day/evening and later in the night would look like crap. In her case, I think she was working too much and sleeping too little. Eventually the agency limited her late-night bookings cause too mnay guys were complaining about her looks. Guys on this board would argue about her looks too; some would say she was hot while others said she was not and I think it had to do with when they had seen her.

Anyway, I digress.... Beauty is very subjective and in the eye of the beholder. I've seen men and women who I thought were very attractive while others thought they weren't attractive at all and vice versa.

Just because she was compared to Tila Tequila doesnt mean she's a look alike. People get compared to celebs that they look nothing like all the time. its possible that the only thing they have in common is the fact that they're the same race. which happens alot with asians. people have told me i look like tila especially when i had blonde hair and i know thats total crap, because i don't. And also you cant really expect an SP to look as good as a celeb whos pics have to been air brushed to no end and have professional hair and makeup artists to make them look that way. not to mention plasric surgery etc etc
