This guy tells all ..... does it really work?

Guy is acting all hard with his CRT TV (unless the video predates LCD/led etc). Lol what a loser

To answer your question:
No it doesn't work, not any more anyway. It used to be one could open the box on th side of there house with a tool readily available on eBay and remove the "filter". Which is just a piece of metal they prevents the cable wire from making contact. This would allow you to watch basic analog channels up to 65 or some odd number. Every house had this ability as Rogers had no way to control the analog signals remotely. Now for basic channels as well as premium channels you need a small digital unit to decode them.

I'm not a basic cable subscriber but I believe it came into place within the past year.

Agreed however, for live local news and local channels there aren't many options. So I still have a limited cable package for that unless you can suggest an alternative?
CTV BNN City Pulse many news options...If you want free local get an antenna. Or use more sophisticated streaming options. But read news highlights, other then that I don't like too much news, it is too depressing.

Captain Criminal explains how now hack Satellite TV. Does this guy not sound like Edward Furlong, AKA John Connor, the leader of the Sky Net resistance ?

When I got my cable guy to look at my house this was about 10 years ago, he somehow hooked up the connection from the neighbours wiring. Have been doing to every room ever since. I only get channels up to 30, but with unlimited data on the Internet, downloading and steaming is the way I prefer .

Of course it is also criminal and the cable companies were (and are) more than willing to notify police - press charges.

Still works. For basic only.
