You should try it with a car worth $4-500K and then give them a choice of colour to take out that day. Not everyone is crazy about bright yellow. But it is an option. I find they like the red.:couple_inlove:
I've been for a few rides in a red Ferrari. On one such day my buddy who owns it, and I pulled into a yacht club. Quite a few dockside ladies left their boats and men, and drifted towards the red magnet in less than one minute. Fascinating

I believe it and you do not need a Ferrari

I had a simple Triumph like this one and girls wanted a ride

The TR6 is indeed an extremely cool little car. I've driven one before and I can best describe it as a car that you need to drive, not a car that drives you. It was a blast to drive.

The TR250 is also a very sexycar (it preceded the TR6).

I love the classic British and American sports cars. From the E types to the MGA to Mustangs to the early camaros.

Here is a TR250. They are fairly rare and it has an older look than the TR6, but I like it a lot. Kind of has that Aston Martin DB5 thing going for it in the front end.

But still, the absolute head turner for me has to be the Series 1.5 E type. I absolutely love the look of this car.

Back in the 80's you could have bought one for 10 grand. Now, for a full points Series 1.5, you're looking north of 120 grand US.

Still, the 1.5 to me is the E type to have. It still has the refined class of the Series 1, but the slightly larger 4.2 litre straight 6 motor as opposed to the 3.8 L6 in the early model Series 1. I know the purists prefer the Series 1, but I'm partial to the Series 1.5. I like the open headlights of the 1.5 and the interior is far more comfortable. Mind you, some of the later Series 1 were fitted with the 4.2 as well and were in fact equipped with the triple SU carbs as opposed to the double Zenith Strombergs of the later 1.5 which gave it better performance.

As long as it didn't have the V12 in it, it was good in my opinion. The V12 looks pretty, but it's just too big of a pig motor for the E type.

You've got it all wrong....

I never made the correlation between attracting (Asian or otherwise) women with a car. Fuck that. Cars are for me.

It's only about the car.

If you gave me the choice between taking an E Type out for a long drive on a warm summer's evening on a fine country road or wasting time chasing / placating some useless woman, it's an easy choice. Hell, there isn't even a choice. I'm out on the road with the top down by myself and I'm happier than hell. Peace and quiet and nothing but the song of the machine.

Marquees like BMW, Lexus, Mercedes etc have been known to open the eyes and legs of many female gold diggers of any race. Vintage British cars would likely not be appreciated by such ladies .:fencing:

Exactly how I feel about my relationship with my Harley. I don't dress in pirate gear, hang out with clones whose idea of a bike ride is a trip to the Timmies wHo don't go anywhere unless it's in a group, and even then usually just go to port Dover, ride for sight, ride for dad, ride for pets, and on and on ad nauseum..but hey they have patches and pins up to ying yang on their leather vests....the brotherhood..what the fuck is with that???

Ahhh, now I finally understand you and the hints you drop in many of your posts. What if the choice was between an E type and a young STUD who likes older gents that are into domination / humiliation fetishes? :ambivalence: I'm kidding, don't blast me.

"placating some useless woman" - LOL - explains why you have many relationship problems and instead seek companionship from animals.

You can come get my Dad's E Type. It's broken down YET AGAIN. That song you are hearing is the sound of more 100s leaving your wallet. This last winter he replaced the wiring harness and rad fans and I think he's finally decided to replace the crappy alternator with a GM unit (sold by Jag Canada no-less!). Since he prefers driving top-down, he's letting the re-broken A/C rot, which Cat's Cradle serviced last year for a small fortune. The body, styling and design are 1st rate British. The electrical, unfortunately, is also British.

What year is your old man's E type?

If it's pre 68, I'll take it off his hands. Send me his contact information.

I can fix Prince of Darkness electrics with my eyes closed. (I'm surprised with you being an Engineer and all that you couldn't help the old man out a bit.) Usually the wiring diagrams for these cars are on one or two pages of 8.5 x 11 paper. Dead assed simple to fix. And the GM alternator swap - well, that's 2 bolts and 1 wire. LOL. Do you not own a wrench set? You can also buy the 85 amp high output Lucas variant as well. Usually guys swap out the original Lucas alternators for more amps as opposed to reliability issues.

Let's not forget, we're talking a 50 year old car here. Wonder how much your Acura will be worth in 50 years. Like about 50 bucks I would figure.

Don't know why you would even need AC in an E type. (Unless it's a coupe, in which case, that's a drawback.)

I'd write more, but me and my dog are headed out for a drive down to Cherry Beach. Woof woof.
