Everyone knows Jared, the former fat guy who used to be used in those Subway ads. According to Jared, if you eat at Subway for every meal you'll lose the pounds, so I did my own experiment, kind of like that guy from Supersize Me.
I have a very strict diet and exercise routine, and I very rarely eat sugar, white bread, white rice, or any simple carbs. I decided to try the Subway diet for a week, for every meal except breakfast, so lunch and dinner. For breakfast I still continued to eat my All Bran Buds with Psyllium. Anyways, I always got the 9 grain bread (which is total crap by the way, it's basically as bad as white bread), and always only had a 6 inch sub for every meal. I got a variety of subs, everything from steak and cheese, to cold cut combo, to sweet onion chicken teriyaki, I had 14 six inch subs in total.
Besides making me feel nauseous, I gained 5 pounds during the week. I don't gain weight easily, I'm 6'2", 180 pounds, and I've been at this weight for years. Only after I started eating Subway everyday I started to gain weight. I stopped and lost the 5 pounds, but it just goes to show you the effects of eating a foot of essentially white bread everyday and all the other crap that Subway serves.
