Ignore Ripper and read up on various threads here -- he's paranoid about DATY and tries to scare everyone with his "warnings".
There is risk to DATY, but there is risk to all services. Hell, an MP could have a non-visible wart on her hand while giving you a covered HJ and pass on the warts!
Near as I can tell from much reading, DATY and DFK are roughly comparable risks, with BBBJ providing a slightly higher risk to the SP. Others will tell you differently, so you'll have to do some research and come to your own conclusions.
Just make sure you decide based on reasonable information instead of based on what you want to be the truth.
