How much has hobbying cost you?

OK, I started to think about this when I wrote the other topic about independent massages. I thought about the fact that I have been doing this for 25 years. Not a lot in the beginning, but had my first experience in my teens.

So now I got to thinking how much it has cost me in terms of dollars and cents (put your own twist on this if you want but I am only referring to the hobbying expense.

Anyway, for me I would have to really have to say upwards of $25000. That may sound like a lot (or not much to some real hard cores) but if you break it down, it is really only $1000/yr (85/month) So when I look at those numbers, the only conclusion I have is I have greatly underestimated the expense.

So what is your experience/ How much have you spent over the years?

I have not really left satisfied after a session and regretted wasting my money, but after few weeks went back again to the hobby.

I will jump in here and say that I spend over $2000 I bet there are guys well over that mark for sure. But look at it this way I had my ex wife for 22 years and she cost me at the end over $140,000 not including the time we where together that's over $6,000 a year. So if I hobby and only need to buy for myself I figure I am getting a deal. also get better value in sex from some of the girls I have got to know now. and no nagging what a bonus.

25k...in 25 years?...thats pretty low....I would say ive spent atleast that much since 2011!
I will go on binges of 2-3 ladies in a week...but then wont for 2 sometimes 3 weeks
Plus I'm a multiple hour guy too.love to play for 2..3.even 4 hours at a time..so that racks it up too

I'm like Thumper...a multiple hours type of guy to the point where I've done full 7 hour days with favorite SP's. I have not been at this hobby very long, only since March of this year but it's safe to say that $25K would not take me 25 years: more like less than a few years.

I look at it more like how much the hobby has saved me.

Can't give you an exact amount, but I know my favourite was able to retire!

Cost, about $2,000 per year - but then again it's also saved my marriage. I'm not a die hard every week hobbyist, but once every month or so. Don't care what anyone says, there are more benefits that these ladies provide than just an hour or two of pleasure.

I can tell you exactly, to the penny. I never set foot in a massage parlour until September 4th of 2013. I guess I enjoyed it because, up to now (December 10th 2013), I've spent $1120.00 there. I won't say it helped my marriage but it sure has made me a happier man.

P.S. That's 9 visits total, the first time was $80, the next 8 were $130 each. I learned a valuable lesson on the first visit.

I haven't visited the SP's often enough to do any damage but I have been visiting the adult ballet for about 30 years. There are a couple of artists that I have spent more than $10k each on. One even had the nerve to complain that I wasn't generous enough after I figure I spent well over $10k on her in a little more than two years, and this was straight dancing without any extras.

I use to have a weakness for getting a dance or two. Even the limited number of times I have gone to a SC comparatively. I have likely spent over $5000 on the "hobby".

Then again most hobbies worth partaking in cost a bit of money.

OK, I have started looking back and I was way off on my initial calculation.....but I would say it has definitely increased in the last few years since I have started in with more SP's and the hourly visits. It is actually scary when I think about it, but like many of you have said, it could cost me a whole lot more then a costly divorce.

1000% agree, other than the fact I've spent way more and gone far more frequently than that.
