I started at a place and it was $25 but kept going up as the years went on by, got up to $35 before I started to look else where. Now found a great place for $16 wash and cut. Its a special price but seems to be like forever, lol

Comes out just as good too.

Kirk's Barber Shop - Erin Ontario - price just went up to $9 - traditional one chair shop, been in the family for years, no appointments, no wash, won't cut women's hair, PRICELESS !!! Any other TERB members willing to vouch for Mark ???

$25 at Dufferin Mall (by the food court). Usually there are lots of hot, young girls working there and they do a wash and cut for about $25 (including tip). It's on the pricey side, especially for me, but worth it.

I've had pretty much one barber for 10 years. When I first got here I tried 4 or 5 places, and I settled on a small friendly independent shop. I pay $17 once every 3 - 5 weeks. I usually just hand over a $20. In my case that's fair as I don't require a wash, and my cut is a "#3 up the sides and back and keep the top short" and I usually get my own sideburns after. I usually take a quick shower before, get my hair cut, and take a long shower and shave after.

$27 for a wash, cut, scalp massage, hand massage, rinse/hot towel rub (to get all the stray hairs) and Bailey's in coffee. Tip usually brings it up to $32-35, unless I have a joint handy.

What has surprised me in this poll is that considering all the talking about money, salary, how much on SPs, SC, high end restaurants and such, there are some cheapskates terbies out there when it comes to haircuts. When I had some, I spent somewhere in the middle of the spectrum for the day as my hair was difficult to cut and easy to fark up. I liked Scratchy the clown, but his hair sucks.

I remember a sign in a salon on Bloor St that read 'We Fix $10.00 Haircuts.'

Used to go to the same guy who first cut my hair at age 2. Now retired. He would cut my hair, trim my beard if i had one, shave my neck and around my beard for $10. Great old guy with a billion stories to tell and remembered everyone.

Now i just do it myself for $0. Not alot of snow on the roof anymore and a buzz cut is easy. Miss the straight razor shave.

$10 every couple of weeks. Why so inexpensive? The stylist, she thinks I'm cute and who am I to differ???

I pay $25 + $2 tip for a wash and cut (no tax). It's a lot more than my previous barber who charged $10+tip, but my new guy cuts better and the shop is located in a more expensive neighborhood. I go every 3-4 weeks.

My daughter once sent me to a salon, where you get a white smuck, and a cappuccino when
you are waiting. Then a hair sculptur did the cut for about $70, I think.
