I'm not comparing them as of today. I'm comparing the when they were 24.explorer69 said:Ex69, please don't compare Spezza to Thorton or especially Lecavalier.
except Spezza doesn't quite have what it takes to lead a team on his own. he's only 3 years younger than Thornton and I haven't seen anything Thorntonlike out of him, yet.hooktonsc said:Spezza's kind of a Joe Thornton clone.
let's not forget that this is nothing new for Spezza. He was bounced around the OHL because of his poor attitude and lack of maturity. there are times when a clown in the dressing room is good for keeping everyone loose, but, i think he lacks the gene to 'take things seriously'.hardlicks said:Word has it that Spezza and Murray just don't get along....
Pretty easy teams? Pittsburgh and Buffalo? I'm pretty sure if you took a poll of coaches, GM's & writters BEFORE the playoffs, that they would rank the Sabers & Pen's among the the 3 or 4 most explosive offenses in the NHL. Also beat NJ with Elias-Gionta-Gomes, probably one of the 5 best lines not playing in Pittsburgh or Buffalo. I think it's too easy to devalue that record after the fact.guy27 said:Emery, I think he's an average goalie that faced three pretty easy teams, don't know if you can win with him. ...
