And again you refuse to blame Hamas. They are just as culpable in the ongoing intra-Palestinian conflict and were just as against elections the last time the possibility was raised as a couple major districts in Gaza were polling towards Fatah.

Actually Hamas won a slim majority of the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH while Fatah/Abbas was elected to the EXECUTIVE BRANCH. Hamas wanted all powers so they held a coup against the democratically elected executive.



p.s. Canada considers Hamas a terrorist entity so all Hamas members are part of a terrorist organization. And considering Hamas sees themselves at war with Israel's existence, Israel is fully justified in having an embargo. And at the time Hamas won a majority in the legislature, there were no Israelis in Gaza and no border restrictions. The restrictions only began after Hamas used their control to launch terror attacks on the Israeli population.

Sadly Hamas is more interested in their genocidal campaign then they are in the welfare of the Palestinian people or else the would have spent some of their billions to help Gaza's poor instead of repeatedly stealing aid supplies to build more weapons and military infrastructure.
