How far back do you remember?

memory is a wonderful thing

I was watching some porn today and came across(haha) a video that I was watching about 12 year ago while one of my ex's was blowing me and preparing for her first ever"porno style facial cumshot".Have not seen it since but it triggered that memory in every sense you could think of...god the mind is a wonderful thing.

I remember going to a Barry White concert in the 70's with my dad but coming home with my mom.

Today a woman was telling me about something that happened to her when she was three. That kind of thing surprises me since I can only remember a few experiences from my childhood (like when I stepped in warm tar and walked in the house) but I don't remember what age I was when they happened. I remember my mom not being too happy about it. Just curious if other people have good recall of their life when they were small.

Guess it would depend on how tramatic the event was for her

I remember my old man bringing home a switchbalde he got from a customer when I was in nursery school and showing me how it worked. I was very intrugued. I remember seeing him put it in the closet in a jacket pocket. I took it and hid it in my room. The next day I took the knife to nursery school and pulled it out while riding a big wheel and held it in the air. All the teachers rushed the floor and and practically ripped me off the big whell. I remeber that day vividly.

The brain is still developing at those ages. When people say they remember when they were 3, they may be mistaken about time and events. They may be remembering something that happened when they were 6 instead, or something they dreamt up or saw in a movie and now believe it was an actual memory.

2 specific memories from 4 years old (crossing the street on my bike and almost getting hit by a car, and my dad "reacting" to that misbehaviour, lol, and one specific day of playing (toy) guns in the woods behind our house. Also my first day of kindergarten.
