I am not a big scotch drinker but if offered a sample I will have it with no training wheels.

My vote goes for neat.

With grape juice. Yum.
I have tried that. It has to be grape juice from the supermarket refrigerator, not canned, not unrefrigerated off the shelf grape juice or mix with water grape juice. Try it with juice chilled to almost frozen. I fooled my friends by putting some grape juice an whiskey into an ice wine bottle and told them it was ice wine. They loved it and wanted to know the brand and where to get some.

southern comfort and kool aid 50/50 in a pint glass
strong bow cider and canadian 50/50 in a pint glass
beer at the freezing point
johnny blue label - straight up
jack - freezer for a few hours then right out of the bottle
wine - room temp

and i drink my milk with ice cubes.
Your cool aid mix with SC is pretty much the same idea, but the fresh grape juice is a better quality mix.

not even close to the same idea. soco is 3rd rate at best and needs to be mixed, hell it is in the mixing section. a fine scotch should not be mixed. yeah if your drinking welfare scotch like chivas regal or johnny red then go ahead and mix away but throwing grape juice in anything high quality is offensive.

the road of life.....
If a colleague is indulging me, I take my scotch neat. If I'm buying, I'd go with bourbon - usually Maker's Mark - with an ice cube or two.

Single malt, neat period, Lagavulin 16.

Great as a digestive after a meal of grilled meat. Add a Cohiba and I'm in heaven.

I prefer my scotch in someone else's glass. I don't care for the stuff. Give me a Tanqueray and tonic any day. Just so long as the sun is below the yardarm.

I can not tell the difference between Gordons and Tanqueray. I do enjoy a rum and coke or a gin and 7up once in a while.

Johnnie Walker:
- Gold Chilled with dark chocolate or something sweet
- Green and Blue i'll take that neat.

I love the Green Label over the other ones, but it's so difficult to find.

I have 3 bottles of JW blue and 4 bottles of JW green, all presents from people I do business with. The JW blue is available in Canada, but I believe that the JW green is intended for markets outside Canada.
I do buy JW red for mixing and Chivas Regal and JW black that I drink with a splash of cold Seven UP
