You don't, as far as I can tell...I think this is an 'it is what it is' situation. Its why I switched to searching phone numbers. That and some names are used a LOT

it is supposed to be with an asterisks like this: IVY* but it never has worked for me.
Never worked for me either, I tried * in the end, in the beginning and both sides, I even tried % instead of * but nothing worked. Terb programmers should fix this bug.

For some reason they've turned that functionality off and from what I could tell deleted the posting where I posted the instructions :(

Here is a simple way to search the titles for the last few months easily.
It is not flashy, but it does the job.

First log into your account, then enter (i.e., copy and paste) this link in your browser bar

https://terb.cc/vbulletin/archive/index.php/f-153.html

What you now see is a list of all the titles of all the posts (for Ottawa Kingston).

Do a search with your browser, i.e. - push “Control F” and enter your 3 letter word,
(or, in explorer, use the menu "find on this page")
In the find or search box, enter your word
e.g., eve, mia, lya, ivy, amy, kim, etc.

Click arrow down or next (in your browser search box) to see the next place where the word appears.

To cover more months, go to the next page [2], [3], etc. and do the browser search again.
Since there are 400 titles per pages, you can cover a year with a couple of pages. Since post that are too old may not be relevant,
you just need to search the 2 or 3 last pages.

When you click on a title, it displays that page.

If you do not like the displayed format, click on "View Full Version" near the top of the page.
It brings you back to the standard display format.

The advantage with this technique is that you do not have to wait 60 seconds between each search.

You can also open multiple pages by doing a "control click" on the title instead of leaving the main page.

The disadvantage is that it searches only the titles, not the body of the post.

By the way, most forums sites have searchable archive titles like this.

You guys should take advantage of google search.
Google this:
ivy site:https://terb.cc
Use search tools to narrow the timeframe.
Terb disabled searching for three letters probably because such queries are heavy on servers and increase bandwidth significantly.

Not just 3 letter names - searching for anything sucks on here. It brings up a lot of info useless to what you're looking for.
Use google.
