Um, no. You can walk into any LCBO and buy a can of beer that's cheaper than the energy drinks in 711 (eg $2.00 or less for a 500 ml. can) - and if you buy a whole 24 it can be as low as a buck a bottle - which is cheaper than the water in some stores.

There are definitely companies succesfully marketing products to people that think they're immune to the marketing.
