No matter what you think of the NRA, they're an American lobby. Same with the AARP. AIPAC is a lobby for a foreign country.

It's not wise to give any foreign government so much influence in your affairs. Undermines your sovereignty.
Nah, it was a Russian asset, spend a bit of money on the NRA and laugh your ass off while the shoot each other.

Whatever, moron 2.0

I am thankful to live in a free country that is politically stable. I despise little turds like you who scream at our amazing government because you don't like his hair style. I am very thankful to have justin Trudeau as a leader and not Kim Jon un, putin, MBS or the Talliban.
There are better choices than Trudeau as our leader. In the next election consider
switching support to the NDP or better the Green Party of Canada.

I am thankful to live in a country with free health care, no threat of war, good public transit, great roads, great school system etc etc. I am thankful that this country is so amazing that assholes like you can sit back and criticize our country which is the best in the world, free of government attention.

I'm not saying that Trudeau is the best choice but I am saying I would rather have Trudeau more than probably at least 95% of other world leaders and yes that includes Biden and Trump

What does that tell you? Owning guns = power.
To a narrow extent, of course.
Owning any weapon is a form of power.
The ability to physically injure someone is a form of power.

The reason why governments and organizations would want to restrict gun ownership is so that citizens relinquish power.
That's a rather simplistic argument.

You and dirtydevil take the approach that Reagan/NRA did in the past, except you want to restrict ALL citizens.

We've gone full circle. Congrats on becoming Reagan 2.0
LOL!
I bet you thought that was clever.

Let me make it so simple even you might understand it

black people exercising rights including 2nd ammendment
White right gets scared
Reagan and NRA enact the strictest gun laws in America in California claiming its necessary for public safety
Would you argue against open carry today? Especially by far right extremist whites? Safe to say, if your honest your answer would be no. So while the panthers were black.

Maybe the honest question you need to ask yourself is. Was it about race, or militant extremist and open carry.

The US has a long history with firearms. There are reasons it’s referred to as a gun “culture”.
Speaking generally, very loosely, their entire society can be thought of as “might makes right”. Whether that’s as individuals or their country and projecting military power.

people moan about authoritarian regimes, be dictatorships, or right wing capitalist.

As far as the 2nd goes. “A well regulated militia”. Maybe I missed English classes, but to me, that’s also always meant being regulated and gun controls.

While way too many blame the tools and symptoms. Few want to look at the root problems. Which imo, are related to a society that doesn’t value life, and is more about the individual, me first, me only.

Not a country I’d choose to live in.
