Good point Blazr banktrupcy is their only saving grace, and the asking price is much lower from what I hear, I was written into the selling contract but I'm sure that's been changed by now.
I was the only constant at that club for nearly seven months straight, one day off a week, never late, never missed a shift and I never got drunk on shift, but I was the "greedy" one, go figure.
Majority of clubs or any other business for that matter, try to trick you into making you believe that once the club sells you'll still have a job, its unfortunate that sometimes owners do what they can to try and not make everyone run on em... They were just trying to keep you on the edge so you wouldnt quit since you knew the place was for sale...
When buying a business, an upcoming new owner of an establishment can state/request anything they want before closing the deal. ...lets use an example. The owner is asking for 149k for the business right?, some hotshot with tuns of money walks in and says to the realestate agent, ill pay the asking price, but the present staff has to go because he has already prepared a new staff. (its like buying a new house, if the purchaser tells the agent, "yes ill pay what they want, but i dont want the washer and dryer thats in the home, ive got new ones") Sorry to break this to ya but i think the owner (your boss) would take the 149 asking price, and you, along with anyone else thats in there would be history faster than you can mix 2 songs together. You ex-boss, or any other establishment owner selling their business would not give up a sale/deal just because a new owner doesnt want to keep you...
in a nut shell, your so-called contract was BS...you were tricked my friend........and i guarentee they are giving the same story to the dj thats there now to make him feel important, they are suckering him in just like they got you.....
