Hotel info please

Hi Terbies - I am heading to Waterloo next week for an event and was wondering if anyone has a hotel recommendation. I took a look online and came up with the Radisson (Kitchener) but I'm not familiar with the city and it looks like it might be a little further than I would like from my destination (near the University). Is there another hotel that has similar rooms/amenities that I should take a look at.

Thanks!

Thanks! I didn't even take a look at it when I did my initial search as I tend to be wary of anything labelled "Inn" as I've stumbled across a few really awful ones when travelling. It looks like it could be quite nice though and the restaurant appears to be quite nice as well.
Oh and sorry this is just a personal trip but I'm always able to arrange a date if in the area if I'm available.

Waterloo (Motor) Inn is nice, but I've had issues with their bookings (walked into a room already full of guests when I was there for a wedding back in the fall). Destination Inn is down the street towards the Conestoga mall, and they have NICE rooms for a good price. I get the suite (in my sig pic actually and most of my website pics) and it's only about $250 a night, but the weekday rates may be lower. There is also Best Western towards St. Jacobs...they are pricey but a very nice set up - fire places and large beds. So closest to furthest from the university goes: Waterloo Inn, Destination Inn, Best Western.

Best of luck to you sweetie!

A popular alternative to the establishments previously mentioned is Hotel CB, located only a 5 minute cab ride from the university area. If you prefer, the hotel staff can provide transportation to your destination at no charge. The hotel offers all the comforts of home inluding home cooked meals, a perfect meat lasagne and a spaghetti sauce to die for are the house specialities. Chilean wine is usually the beverage of choice for the hotel’s discerning guests. Breakfast is typically a home cooked omelette, made with your choice of fresh ingredients, which has brought rave reviews from a number of guests. Freshly brewed Jamaican or Dominican coffee will certainly provide a kick start to your busy day ahead. The hotel staff bring customer service to another level, highly recommended. :D
