That would be awesome in fact I can recall coming in from a flight and making it through baggage etc more quickly thus being 30 mins early for a meeting w you Jessica (you will know where lol) and deciding to have a vodka on the rocks in the bar attached to the hotel until the appointment time. The perceptive bartender noticed me sitting alone and my one leg was bouncing away furiously in nervous excitement and he said "looks like you got something going on" and I was caught a bit off guard and said "yep...gotta meet this... guy... for an hour....it is going to be an interesting meeting, and a lot of ...intellectual...wrestling....and I'm just thinking through all the possibilities now....so let me settle up with you now, because as soon as he calls, I gotta dash out of this place" lol. So, depending up how far you wish to stretch the laws of physics, Jessica, you did sort of pick me up in a bar the moment you rang me and said you were ready LOL....(and for the record, it was awesome as always w Jessica).

OMG. And Chloe too. She is such a resource on everything in this life - and she can hit it out of the park companionship wise too!. That would be so cool to run into Chloe in a bar...but to get this from me fawning over Chloe and Jessica (both deserve tons of fawning)- the topic - there seems to be some merits to this bar thing - From a guy's perspective you get to see the lady, including her face, so you are a more informed person, and with a chat get to feel her brain work too (love a smart lady!) and I imagine from the lady's POV, you can wave away those creepy ones easier cuz you have full access to body language during the 'booking' process in the bar. In my case though if I'm w others though I would not engage in some actions. If I was by myself, and started chatting w a lady and turns out she's a pro or suggests the companionship for a cost, I'd be leery in that I'd want to look her up and see her reviews etc etc rather than just jumping in w someone claiming to be a pro. (of course if its Chloe or Jessica I'm throwing them onto my shoulder and deploy the fireman carry technique and run them up to their room as fast as my feet will take me lol)I'll help you babe! I'm so team alpha women.

Anyone remember the old Constellation hotel and it's Magic Carpet Lounge, an Arabian nights themed bar? There was another nice bar on the ground floor, but I forget the name. As a young guy (25?) I was picked up by a visiting businesswoman in her fifties from Savana who was staying there. Loved her, loved her accent.
Usually it's someone who notices both phones... or someone who noticed me trailing a finger over a pair of shoes... a dress... a little sigh usually escapes and as I turn to walk away I hear 'you should try that on...' one thing leads to another and a private floor display always happens. LOL

I had it happen a few times in Montreal on Cresent.... not planned or arranged. I was actually taking the night off and relaxing on one occasion, and having a few drinks! No intentions on calling an sp for the evening. And for me I usually use agencies, vs indy.
At first it actually seemed like a friendly gesture of chit chat when she approached the bar and ordered a drink. This type of sp has an excellent ability to adapt socially! We literally chatted for about an hour about everything and nothing. Soon i was showing her pictures of my damn dogs on my phone, and a recent trip to Italy! By that time I was in the mood and she could sense it! Thats when the offer came about! It just brings about the entire element of picking up a girl at a bar... it helps create that fantasy, with an almost guarantee of sealing the deal!
Im not an old man (age is in my handle), Im fairly well off, and very social, and single. I live a life that doesn't make time for settling down yet! In my opinion, Im not half bad... and my accent usually gets me quite a bit of attention with the opposite sex! I just don't want a relationship right now... or for the last 5 years! LOL Thats why i do this. Not to mention... you can live out just about any fantasy that you have when you're in this hobby! Having two gorgeous dark skinned beauties pick me up the bar.... yup that hits home! Not as much as two asians... but its up there! LOL. But wigglee, I do know exactly what your saying... but its just a part of mixing the hobby a bit and having fun with fantasies.
I also think this appeals to some clients as it gives the client and the sp a chance to meet prior to an arrangement. Know what I mean? In Montreal they have VIP parties that clients and sp's (indy and agency) attend... and everyone mingles and drinks and gets to know each other. I would place money on it that these parties definitely help the business a whole lot! Even though nothing sexual really happens at the parties... that I know about! If Toronto had similar parties, I would attend just to meet the courtesans face to face, and have a chat.
I just find making the attempt at a bar (if you can find one that suits your interests), especially when you're from out of town, and staying at a hotel, never really works out to well! Not for me anyway! LOL
Ki on a Thursday night will get you a bar full of bankers too. King West is hit and miss, I find it usually deserted these days.
About 10 years ago I was in Vegas with my dad and uncle. We were attending a "Best Western" hotel owners convention. Decided to go to the Hilton Lobby Bar for a drink. Couple of ladies come over and ask if we wanted company. Now my dad is ultra-conservative religious person, boy it was fun watching him squirm. I let it go on for about 3 minutes before I cut them off with a very nice - no thank you.
I would have been different outcome if I was on my own. :biggrin:
