Never tasted a home brewed beer that didn't taste like flat watered down day old beer. Ughhhhh....

My roomate used to brew every week. He stored it for 6 months prior to tasting. It really was excellent beer. I think the problem is you get better at it with practice and you need to let it sit for 6 months prior to tasting.
