I had given up on it. I signed up in January, spent pretty much all my credits by the end of the month, and didn't check my profile since mid February. I logged on in a few days ago to unload my junk email, and a reasonably good looking girl responded to my profile.

I'm going to talk to her via email some more, and see how it goes.

Well she asked about my background, occupation and why I started riding horses. Here's my response. I tried to be funny and honest.


I am a rich full flavoured exotic blend of Japanese (father) and Korean (mother). I'm monolingual though and was born in Canada.

The real reason I took horseback riding lessons was to meet a girl, but all that happened is that I got good at riding a horse. I decided on riding lessons because I always wanted to know how to ride a horse. I figured if I didn't meet someone, at least I wouldn't be stuck doing something I didn't like.

I liked it. Currying the horses was kind of therapeutic and cantering around the arena usually brought a smile to my face. The highest I used to jump is about 3 feet. I wanted to jump higher, but they wouldn't let me because they said it was bad for the school horses to be doing that since they already put on alot of mileage.

What do I do for a living? Usually I am a banker, but I am looking for work right now. I do some contract work unrelated to banking and am a reserve military officer and that keeps my cashflow up. I've got a couple of things on the go, but don't really expect anything to happen until the new year.

I'd actually more or less given up on lavalife and wasn't really looking for someone because I was hoping to be employed when looking. I just logged on to empty the junk out of my mailbox and see how many credits were left. I wasn't expecting to get a response from someone. It's been months since I've checked. Kind of makes me wonder how many other attractive women mailed me and withdrew thier messages. KIDDING!!

How about you? Do you go out to visit your horse everyday, or does someone take care of feeding it? What's your occupation? I live downtown too, so if you are interested in meeting, I have a fairly open schedule and could meet you for lunch or coffee. I'll let you decide.

I once tried Yahoo Personals but no one responded to me when I had my real photo posted.

So what I did was post a photo of a good looking guy who looked like he had an outgoing, charming personality and I created a corresponding character, though maybe I made him a little too serious. Anyway I corresponded with ladies for a week or so.

Personally, I felt amazing because I was actually getting some positive attention from real Torontonian women who normally all but ignore me.

But then my consciousness took over because I realised I was being deceitful and doing a terrible thing. So I told any lady that did want to make a date with the "Stud" I was getting back with my ex and was sorry about creating any want.

It would have been awkward to actually show up for a date looking different than the photo and introducing my introverted, dull personality but I still considered appearing, saying that the "Stud" sent me in his place.

Anyway in the end, I reconsidered because getting hot coffee poured on me may not be worth the 5 minutes of being able to sit with a hot looking chic?
