First he has test it out...be at the office around people she knows and then turn it off for 90 mins....then back on. Then when he goes home assess how she reacts, or whether she says anything. If so, the entire office can honestly vouch for him. That will unmask her surreptitious efforts as well.

If she asks any questions as to why his location went off, say there must of been a glitch in the system. If she doesn’t ask, well then she isn’t really monitoring and keep doing that until asks. Once she notices and brings it up, come back to this thread and we will brainstorm another solution.

Ignoring the bigger issues and just addressing Find My Friends. If you have multiple iOS devices, you can choose which device is used for reporting your location. And this choice can be made from any device or online. So not only could you just leave your phone at the office, you can actively mislead those who would spy on you.
