Wow. How is it possible for you to get it completely backwards? How is the substance of an individual revealed? By the consistent pattern of past words and actions. Trump’s “substance” is that of a man with no moral compass and a clearly racist background. THAT is what matters. His recent image (eg: denying all of his indiscretions (business and personal) and pretending that he does not embrace many of the same views as white nationalists is the bullshit.
Therefore, if Trump made the same attempt at humour as Clinton he would be vilified (as some are trying to do to Clinton) but there would be more substance to the vilification due to the lack of substance of Trump. Nothing bleak about it - in fact, the opposite.

Trump's actions have improved the plight of the average African American and Hispanic person significantly. Lowest unemployment rates in history. Highest rates of home ownership in history. Trump got 8% of the black vote and 29% of the Latino vote in 2016. In 2020 if he runs again I bet those numbers will be significantly higher.
WTF? Trump's actions were to cut taxes. Period. He has done nothing specifically for African American or Hispanic people save for the collateral benefit of a rising economy, which began in 2009 and accelerated thanks to Trump's deficit spending.
I watched the video. I don't believe it shows Clinton to be a racist, because she's implying that it's the interviewer who sees all blacks as looking alike. It does come off as offensive to her interviewer, who didn't deserve such a scolding remark for what I'm sure was a simple mistake. So, in the final analysis, Clinton didn't say anything racist. She was just her usual bitchy, dislikeable self.
Collateral benefit of a rising economy what planet are you on? 2016 was a poor year, one of the worst in Obama's tenure. He was the only POTUS in the history of the Republic to not realize annualized 3% GDP growth. Not a good legacy to hold.
2015 GDP - 2.9% Yr 7 Obama
2016 GDP - 1.5% Yr 8 Obama
2017 GDP - 2.3% Yr 1 Trump
2018 GDP - 3.3% Yr 2 Trump
More importantly than cutting taxes the Trump administration cut job stifling regulations. Enacted policies which stemmed the flow of illegal immigrants who take the jobs of unskilled/semi skilled workers, many of whom are black and Hispanic.
I agree that cutting bad regulations and stopping the flow of immigrants is a good thing. But cutting taxes when the country is posting huge deficits during non-recessionary times is nuts. Yes, it has spurred GDP. But at what cost?
Can you provide proof that the jobs previously filled by illegal immigrants are now filled by American Blacks and Hispanics (or whoever)? i.e are California crop pickers now Blacks and Hispanics.
The stats I've seen show that most of those jobs are still filled by under-the-table illegals (farming, warehouse picking, property maintenance, low skill manual labour). According to articles, many American minorities with low/no skills have moved to slightly more up-market jobs (chain fast food, retail, customer service and low skill small business). It's the increase of available jobs in those categories that has helped lower the unemployment numbers. Unfortunately many of those markets are cyclic and could disappear in a year or two.
