In the recent climate of SPs concern for their safety I had an interesting experience.

I had set up a tenative appoinment with one of the local gals for an incall. All seemed fine untill I wasn't able to provide a listed personal phone number. (My home number is unpublished). I did provide a listed business number, and no less than 7 TERB SP references (both indy and agency).

All still led to a terse cancelation from my much anticipated lady.

I really don't think that there was anything else I could do...she had my email, PM here, cel #, biz #...everything short of my blood type and mother's maiden name. On a personal note, I always treat SPs with the utmost respect.

I fully understand a hightened state of apprehension these days,
but at what point are things being OVER reacted to?

Maybe a note from your Mother would have helped! But seriously Quirt, I guess the point that things are being OVER reacted to - is the point when someone is murdered. No doubt as time passes - precautions will ease up a bit.

"precautions will ease up a bit"\\

I certianly hope not. For the protection of the ladies every precaution should be adhered to rigourously. Better a moment of disappointment than... well I'd rather not think about it

I couldnt agree with you more thunder. Every precaution should be adhered to rigourously. But I have no doubt that over time things will ease up.

Why can't all hobbyist's be so open and provide information like this? I think what you did was more than sufficent!

Damn, when I ask for JUST a business phone number I get told I'm asking for "life history"

We all have to be careful, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Right you are Danielle and therein lies the rub. I feel for Quirt if indeed he was abruptly cancelled after providing the amount of information to the lady. It would certainly seem that if indeed he had provided such references and numbers, that should have been quite sufficient to see the lady in question. My suggestion to Quirt would be to reapproach the lady and ask her to call you at work through the switch board of your company. That way she's got the same level of assurance. You could mutually agree to a timeframe within which she could call so that she would get you to answer the line.

This is a rough situation right now and I can't blame the SP's at all. They are tying to get as much info on who we are for their safety. Unfortunately this is a hobby where privacy and discretion is very important for most if not all.

Thunder I agree 100%.

Quirt I hate to say it but maybe you should stick to those who know you at present hun.
That's right quirt or maybe explore some outcall alternatives.

Thanks for the feedback

As I originally posted, I truely understand the current state of the minds of ladies in this business. While sticking with ladies I have seen in the past is an option, we all know that this hobby thrives on diversity.

I feel badly that the lady in question was in such a peranoid state.

Many sp's are not seeing new clientele at this time and some girls are even quitting the biz due to the stress. Cut them some slack for implementing safety precautions and appreciate the fact that it's not the johns who end up dead.
