do a search on a search engine for "phaze.dll" and you'll find a whole ton of things to download.

Look for an app called gspot. It's about 200 kb. You open a file with gpot, and it let's you know the actual video type, and any audio or video codecs needed to play the video file. You might have some difficulty converting an xvid .avi file to .mpg.
