Life itself is the meaning and considering it only happens once it should be treasured now. Don't count on a pie in the sky when you die.
The fact that my god may offend someone is the reason why I am an atheist.

Adopt a dog you love. You will figure out it is the reflection of
your god that can make your life meaningful. As for me I will
cherish the memories of each and every dog I've had in my life

What I always find odd is....why would an afterlife have any more meaning than life, to the point where life's meaning was to get into the afterlife?
But with no money and nothing to spend it on they won't have anything to do with you just like on earth
Or why is your life so much more meaningful if you believe in some invisible overlord who watches you for entertainment and keeps score cards on everyone?
Life has no meaning, your birth is an accident and your inevitable demise is of no consequence. Enjoy the moment and never, ever deprive yourself of chocolate mousse with Grand Marnier .
