My classes are amazing. The teachers are hilarious without being irreverent, really laid back, Berkeley-style. I love my classmates too and i feel really lucky to be studying right now. Lots of lawyers looking for a new path, people from all backgrounds, an interesting group, with most students being 30-something.
it is strange saying I'm a student again. most people think I'm far too old to say that.
Its taking up a lot of my time, and I'm still settling in, and STILL looking for a place.
This city is really hard to crack into though, especially with a small dog. the housing market is competitive and over priced. I've been looking for something nice for 5 weeks now and nadda. $1600-$2000 for a single room bachelor is not uncommon. im just used to so much space, and having my choice of apartments. People live here with a lot less space and luxury then Toronto. That said, im loving it. the fact i can get in my car and be in the wild in an hour...priceless.
as for the industry here, i couldn't say. i haven't advertised yet. i haven't been laid in almost two months lol!
