Heartbreak in Connecticut - Children and Adults Slaughtered At School

The grim toll so far at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT is 18 children and 8 adults, including the shooter, principal and school psychologist. The shooter was said to be a father of a child at the school. Children at the school are from ages 5 to 10.

Movie theatre, shopping mall, colleges, elementary schools, work places, etc., etc. Never ends

This is a horrible tragedy. Killers' targeting elementary school children in a mass killing is a new low.

Perhaps US lawmakers will reconsider their stance on gun control legislation. After the tragedy at the Colorado movie theatre, gun advocates had the audacity to argue that if more people in the crowd had been armed they could have defended themselves and avoided the tragedy. What will they argue here- that elementary school children should be granted concealed weapon permits?

This story makes me angry. This tragedy could have been avoided.
