I agree with most of this take; it is both her choice AND racist. They're not mutually exclusive conditions.
But it's also pretty cynical for the OP to have been fine with her excluding Black and Indian clients, but then when he finds out she's also excluding people who look like him he comes on here to accuse her of racism. If you're going to stand against racism you don't get to do it on a case-by-case basis.
That will never happen. Will be too much of a lost income.
the smart ones don’t have any restrictions on race and the ones you’ll get better service as they want you to keep coming back. It’s all about how much money, I can make real quick if one day I decide to move on.
Racism is bad at any form, but due to nature of this profession? I believe personnel choice does have its importance. I know its a grey area when ad is not clear on this aspect. Sometimes SPs don't include this clause so they get more views and inquiries. The problem is when ad is nit clear and SPs surprise the visitor with NO’s.
Two way to approach this is to be straight forward with the situation by letting SP know your race and age or from SP, be straight forward with their choice when confirming an appointment.
Iam not white and hence I am very much familiar with this situation and for me, a providers choice of not seeing someone from certain race group is not racist as long as she let the customer know her preference in advance.. but I don’t expect this professionalism from most of the SPs in LL.

I don't understand what the fuss this thread is about. It's been overflogged and a tired topic, do a quick search under 411 here. Even if one feels a provder is overtly racist in their poster, there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it, they cannot be taken to Canadian Human Rights Commission because the industry/trade is unregulated and not recognized (not Officially under Canadian Professions/trades/occupation metrics), they cannot be taken to a licensed professional body for adjudication or censure because this does not exist. Yes, it is evident that the OP felt mistreated or annoyed by the experience but that's life. Shit happens. Consider that you ducked a bullet: I assure you you would have had a very shitty experience with Isabel. Move on to a provider that doesn't screen out clients on the basis of race or ethnicity. There are a dime a dozen out there.
I had bookmarked Isabel's LL post. When you do that, and the account holder changes the ad, the bookmark does not change. This is the ad that comes up now for the same account; it's probably also fake. Just as a community service type of heads-up.
