Have you seen a Starbucks with drive-through?

Seems rare in GTA, in fact I've never seen one until I moved to London. Why is this?

I don't know that I've ever been to a Starbucks without a drive-thru.

Yeah, the only ones I see without a drive thru are in malls or part of other stores (like Target and Chapters). I can see in a heavily built up area like a downtown where there just isn't space for a drive thru.

Seems they are all outside the city. I never seen one in Scarborough, North York. all the ones you mentioned are in Mississauga and Oshawa beyond..

There are 20 in the GTA. The reason is, there is land available for the drive-thru.
There only 2 inside of Toronto that I know of and they are in Scarbs - 3740 Midland Ave & 6714 Kingston Rd

Other locations:
3 - Vaughan
2 - Markham
3 - Mississauga
3 - Milton
2 - Oakville
3 - Burlington
3 - Ajax
1 - Brampton

I'm going out on a limb here and suggesting that they may not want to encourage the drive through experience as opposed to the sitting down inside and staying a while one. I used to chat to someone who claimed that they used to work high up in Starbucks and that their mentality was home first, work second and Starbucks third. I assume that this is not achieved on the fly. Just my thought(s) on the matter.

Tims is slowly dying in the Toronto Downtown core...being out muscled by Starbucks

yeah I think they do this in purpose to distinguish themselves from other fastfood chains. to give you an ellusion of class so to speak. However, the further you go from the city the less people care about the class?

There's a drive thru Starbucks in Parry Sound.

here in London, almost all Starbucks have drive through except for one in downtown core I think. I don't really care one way of the other since I don't use drive through myself. Just an interesting observation, and my curious nature to always want explanation for things.

Every week day morning in Ajax on my way to work.. sometimes on the way home too. Yes their overpriced caffeine crack is somewhat addictive but also that particular one seems to have a good proportion of hot female barristas, one in particular who is spectacularly busty and very flirty... I seem to walk in more than I drive through..
