Ya know, I have to give testimony on the side of the Canadian Government in this area. I believe it was back in 2005 where citizens were offered the chance to speak their views on Canadian Prostitution-related laws/policies (at a number of in-person hearings) , and I made a special effort to contact somebody in a related government office to ask if I might be able to offer in writing my lengthy views on prostitution and specifically street prostitution in Canada. The person at the government office invited me to send my written testimony, and upon seeing the prevailing laws being struck down a couple of years ago, I was able to find that old e-mail I'd sent. As I read back on my words written years before, I was caused to feel basically "proud" that I had covered enough of the right details to where my written testimony matched-up in key areas to the wording of the judge who struck down the laws.
Now of course someone here could suggest (or inform me) that my written testimony had been printed-out and then used for a printer test sheet five minutes later (before being discarded), but I like to believe that the various branches of the government which correct other branches, had incorporated my thoughts and observations along with thousands of others like them, before finalizing their legal rulings.
