How does all this dating happen when most people settle down by late 20s to early 30s at the latest?

In order to date this much variety, you need TIME. Dating is a lot of work. How do people pull this off ? I get it, it's easy for women. But what about all the men who say they've dated so much? Much tougher to book dates as a male.

You have weeknights and weekends assuming you're employed.

Listening to the younger ladies, they're ripping through 20 different dudes per month... Chilling with a guy for a bit, then starting up again...

The younger guys are not talking like this. They are good guys and have decent jobs...

Is it good or bad? I don't know. Culturally, we all need to change for the new normal. Whatever it is.

Yeah I get it, the ladies can pull it off. What I really doubt is the guys who claim to date that much? It's very hard to believe.
I don't believe it as well. Going back to my younger years, I didn't have the time to date many different women. You'd meet one that you were really interested in and focused on her. It worked out or did not work out.

Now, it must be worse as guys can't even afford to date... Do you spend $150-200 on a meal together? You can't do that for very long when starting out.

The only way I can see it for a guy is if not working. Chasing women full time. That's the job. Then it's probably possible. Otherwise, if you have a job, you only have weekends and weeknights to date. It's a lot of work to chase and set up dates.

Regardless of race, a pretty face (kind eyes, pretty smile), any boobs and a healthy butt will land any guy... Money or no money.

I'm not sure how it works for women.

I agree. I was around when LavaLife first started. I found it impossible. I hated having the same conversation concurrently with women.

If I had to date now, I don't think I could. I need people in real life and in front of me to vibe off of.

Perhaps bringing the thread back on track... The wife and I make an effort to not talk about races or racial differences. Our sons find friends naturally. Currently, neither have any white friends (outside of their hockey teams). I can see my sons dating interracially without issues.

Tried one of those dating apps yesterday.
Wanted to see how things were after reading this thread.
After setting up an account and not filling out everything, I saw all the profiles of different women.
I didn't have much time, but I wanted to browse.
All these "bot" messages started to come into my inbox, and I could not even answer, unless I pay $......... of money.

So, I just got rid of it, deleted my picture/profile and uninstalled the app.
What a waste of time.
No wonder young men are miserable.

Same.

It wasn’t u til I met a coder by chance at a bar and he was a little drunk that told me lavalife was a scam with paid employees who would chat guys up just to make $.

Never met any woman from that site. Had way better luck joining a kayaking club, meet ups at MEC and generally getting offline and getting out to meet real people.

I’ve no idea how people date now. Too many apps, I prefer to meet people in groups and chat and have fun. Having fun in person is way more attractive than any online profile one can be.

LavaLife worked for me. I met my wife. So did a number of friends…. In the beginning it seemed to work well with a quick LL message and then over to MSN Messenger or a phone call. It was the handling of multiple messages, calls from women at the same time…. Hated it. I was only on it for less than 3 weeks. I felt like a loser that I even used LL. Now it is common (and fake).

"Dating" in 2022 means hooking up and fucking (bootycall). Females can go through different "dates" weekly with ease.

Yes.

In terms of relationships that lasted more than a month or two, I first dated a white, Canadian girl in high school, then a Polish girl early in university. And I don't mean an agency's idea of a Polish girl who simply has Polish heritage but was born in Canada. I mean an actual Polish-born gal. My God, that accent was sexy....

As for interracial...in the last year of university I was dating a South Korean gal, but that only lasted 14 months. After that I dated a Japanese girl for 3 years.

Now I'm dating another white girl, American born, going on our third year now.

Race is not a primary factor in who I date. I have aesthetic preferences for hair color, eye color, and yes, skin tone (pale skin with dark hair and brown eyes I just find striking), but I've dated outside those preferences because they're not that important in a partner.

Same - only races I haven't had the opportunity to date was African culture and Asian cultures back in the day. White girls, EI and ME were in rotation for me in my younger years.
