I always consider the female orgasm a "chase". It's elusive, and it doesn't take much distraction for that orgasm to flee, which has to be frustrating for her. And frustration kills it.
It's not really like that for guys. Sure, as you get older you may have more trouble reaching orgasm, but the majority of the time it's achievable. Virtually all the time when young.
Good experiment: if you want to approximate what it's like for women trying to achieve orgasm, try to will yourself to orgasm without physical stimulation, just visual (and maybe auditory). While I think that's probably even more difficult than what women have to deal with, it'll give you an idea of what the "chase" feels like where it's building slowly but any distraction or loss of focus can set you back. Then when you're close it's even hard to breathe right in order to get to the finish line. And when you make it to the cusp but can't quite pull it off, the frustration is horrible. Yes, I've done this experiment successfully, though that was like 8 years ago now, and even then I had to abstain for like a week first. Not sure I could pull it off now.
To improve your odds of getting a woman off, you need to create the best environment for success. Get her relaxed with a massage or playful banter. Warm her up slowly with touches on her thigh, kisses on her neck, licks swirling in towards the goal. Build anticipation like that. Take your time. Listen to her body. Reinforce what she positively responds to, and steer clear of what she negatively responds to. Most often a negative response will simply be silence, though she may actually try to direct you elsewhere too. Some "tricks" might work on multiple women, but not all, which means you should approach each woman like a puzzle you need to unlock, with the prize being her orgasm.
There's a reason they say good listeners make the greatest lovers.
