Forgive my previous spelling. It's called 'Meson de la Flota'. It's one of my favorite places in Havana to eat and watch dancing. It's also steps away from 'Plaza Vieja' where you can sit in any of the patios of this gorgeous old square and plan how you'll spend your night.Don, can you recommend a Casa. I tried to look up El Meson de la Fonda with no success, what area in Havana is it?

One of my favorite places to stay in Havana. In a neighborhood called 'El Vedado'. Mercedes runs the house and her son, Luis Carlos, speaks great English. He's in his mid-20's and you should meet his friends! Mind you, my Spanish is better than average so I'm able to generate my own activity at any given time. Don't forget that I'm a fan of GND's and Non-Pro's. The girls I meet and spend time with are as far away from this hobby as can possibly be.

As for how and when you meet any girls, when you both decide you want to spend the night together, she'll probably need to make some arrangements. It's not like she's been sitting around waiting for you all day. She'll be happy and willing but she'll need to plan it out. Low profile is always best. Avoid walking together as much as you can but a cab is perfectly fine and safe. She'll probably need to go home for a bit to spin a story for whom she lives with and get her 'girl things'.
As far as your Casa goes: this is why I mentioned from the beginning to let your Casa Landlord know your plans. A simple: "I hope to have guests, I hope that's alright with you" will suffice. They will let you know if they do or don't allow right away. This way, no matter when you get home with your girl, it's all good. It's always preferable if the Casa has it's own separate entrance for you, of course.
