I've been getting concerned lately how often statements are made because people portray that they know as opposed to assume (and we all know how to break down THAT word)!
We should all preface statements with, IMO, unless we know for a fact.

You're so right MMofM. I will use IMO next time, as the info I received was incorrect. I was told she was going early July, prior to my leaving for holidays on July 1st.

So yes, I 'assumed' it to be true, not being from the area. Glad to hear she is still around for a wee while longer.
