There is no doubt Alec Baldwin killed Mamie Mitchell. That is the classical definition of homicide.

I have seen nothing so far that he or anyone else has been charged criminally yet.

So, what is going on here?

just a hunch but probably because there is no evidence that he knew the weapon had a live round in it when he fired as the script called for?

Not a fan of Alec Baldwin, he won't be charged, there is not enough evidence for the prosecutor.

I don't know what's going on tbh. They subpoenaed his cell phone but he has yet to turn it over. That tells me that they have probable cause to suspect him for something.

I actually looked into the meaning of homicide while working on another case.

"Homicide is an act of a human killing another person. A homicide requires only a volitional act that causes the death of another, and thus a homicide may result from accidental, reckless, or negligent acts even if there is no intent to cause harm. Homicides can be divided into many overlapping legal categories, including murder, manslaughter, justifiable homicide, killing in war(either follow…"

People who have committed homicide include Julie Payette, Craig McTavish, Matthew Broderick, etc.

Michael Bryant also killed another human.

"On September 1, 2009, Bryant was taken into police custody after an altercation with cyclist Darcy Allan Sheppard on a downtown Toronto street which resulted in Sheppard's death.[21] Bryant was later charged with criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death with respect to the incident.[22][23][24] On May 25, 2010, prosecutor Richard Peck withdrew all charges against Bryant stemming from the incident, noting there was "no reasonable prospect of conviction".[25]"

Baldwin is a darling of the left. Like Cuomo, like the scumbag murderer of Ashli Babbitt, like the lying POS Strzok the swamp takes care of their own. But, if you're Kyle Rittenhouse or some Joe Schmo who put his foot in the hallway of the Congress or you protest the rape of your daughter by a trans in the school bathroom, the swamp will send the swat team to collect you and toss a kitchen sink at you in the courtroom.

Former hockey star Stan Jonathan also killed another human. Clearly a homicide.

"Stan Jonathan was charged with criminal negligence in a hunting accident on the Six Nations reserve that killed Peter Kosid of Hamilton, Ontario, on Sunday, November 11, 2012.[7] The criminal charges against Jonathan in the hunting death of Peter Kosid have been withdrawn."

You also argued that George Floyd wasn't murdered.
What's going on is with you, not Baldwin.

You are referring to manslaughter at best.

New Mexico has weird laws. Once i stopped in the desert to pee and the cops followed me for miles after, pulled me over and asked why I peed in the desert.

I'm not really a New Mexico criminal lawyer, I just play one on TREB. Does appear to be involuntary manslaughter at worse. Time will tell if and what he will be charged.
