Has anyone here ever been arrested for trying to or purchasing sex?

You can contrast the data from the U.S. for a similar period. When you divide by the total adult population, you get a very small number in percentage terms, but Canada has an additional (and important) zero in the result before you get to a “non-zero” number.
However, if you divide by the number of Johns instead of the total adult population, the %'s will be higher.

Realistically in the GTA, arrests will only happen when underage girls are involved. At one time, undercover cops posed as streetwalkers, but that market isn't prominent enough to warrant the deployment anymore.

I actually saw three streetwalkers working around 8 AM last week, not far from where I live.
So as many people know, I was violently attacked by a client when I first started. Head wrapped and duct tape. Zip tied from wrist to elbows and strangled unconscious multiple times during an attempted robbery

Like I said, this is when I first started and I didn't understand the legalities of this job and I thought for sure I was going to be arrested too, especially since I had a lot of contraband in the room. I was still a hardcore user at the time before I sobered up

And the cops not only did not take my drugs but they treated me like an absolute Queen. The only thing they cared about was that I was attacked. But for the most part, the cops don't really bother with anybody in Toronto, as long as it's too consenting adults and there's no one being trafficked or assaulted

They didn't even care about the contraband in my room because it wasn't part of the investigation

But I do know in places like Saskatoon where you require a license. The cops are a lot more hardcore out there with regards to the issues and stings
But here in Toronto they really don't care. Just my two cents

so funny I used to live
just off Barton as a teen and don’t recall seeing any sex workers but I also didn’t stay outside past 10 pm
Oh I used to live right off Barton Street when I was in Hamilton and I couldn't tell you there are a ton of Street walkers there. So many come out after dark

I live in a house in Cabbagetown which was renovated into five apartment flats. The house next door, with the same landlord, also has five apartments. There is a common wall and a shared backyard.

There's a guy in my building who sells crack, and there was a guy next door who sold 'injectables'. The porch person who lives in between them called the cops multiple times, and was told the same thing each time 'we don't care about the small fish'.

Eventually the landlord evicted the needle guy, not because of his dealing, but because he repeatedly had un-escorted guests in the backyard common area. He'd still be here if his customers had come to the front of his building, instead of through the back.

Toronto cops care very much about any crimes which involve violence. Minor crimes seem to matter only to rookie cops who need the overtime money for court appearances.

Omg that sounds like the place I used to live in Hamilton. Literally the subsidized housing across the street from me turned into a full-on brothel. I don't know who was paying to sleep with these people because all I would be paying them to do is put more clothes on. Scary. Very scary. They had pimps on bicycles with boomboxes bungee corded to the back. They had a garage where they would ride the girls on the bike too and they would see the clients out of there if the house was full

It was great for people watching though. Like sometimes me and my brother would just sit at the window and watch them. Plus people were overdosing there everyday so there was literally an ambulance on site like all the time. And I'm talking about like pregnant women overdosing. Very scary stuff. But nobody was ever arrested

Something I always find a bit disturbing is the number of members who come out of the woodwork to defend johns who were busted for soliciting underage girls each time there's a thread about these PoS' being arrested.

Just my .2 but I think that should be grounds for an automatic, no questions asked permaban.

Unless I missed something, I didn't see anyone defending johns busted for soliciting sex from underage girls in this thread.

Sorry that happened to you.
In this forum there are so many clients stories about being ripped off by SP or threatened by a SPs gang
There’s danger on your side that aren’t always mention in these forum
If you thought back was it the drugs that made you unaware of the red flags ?

First of all, thank you for recognizing this because the dangers on our side are oftentimes just as scary.

I attribute a lot of what happened to me to the fact that I was brand new. I sort of just stumbled into this industry at age 39 not knowing anything or anyone and there were lots of red flags to that appointment that I just didn't know about

Like for instance he canceled the appointment and then he rebooked for the last day that I was there and the last appointment. Red flag that I didn't realize.

He also showed up with a duffel bag which is also really weird. Another red flag that I didn't realize

He also said some stupid thing about it being his birthday and he wanted me to drop Ray to the floor and suck his dick immediately so that I would forget about him having to pay me. Another red flag that I didn't notice

There were just so many of them but because I was so new and yes, likely because I was on an abundance of drugs things were hazy

But I learned a lot from that and that asshole didn't get a red cent when he was trying to rob me because he was too stupid to look in the safe and I wasn't about to tell him

But I'm lucky I survived and it taught me a lot. But oftentimes when girls screen. This is the reason why. We are 100% not trying to exploit you or extort you in any way. Sometimes it's simply the only way to feel safe

It was definitely the scariest night of my life and I feel truly blessed that I got to survive

This man was a 6'8 giant who completely took advantage of me. And the worst part is the courts threw it out and he walked away free. Welcome to the Injustice system people
