I am planning on going to Japan solo.

Just wondered if anyone had any advise on what to expect or stay or do.

i was thinking of staying in the Shinjuku, Shibuya areas of Tokyo. Those areas are close to public transport and lots of night life.

I have been to South Asia before like Hong Kong and Singapore and China

I am not sure about see SP.

I checked out the scene in Singapore where it is legal but I was still hesitant

I have tried SP in Germany and Spain and I don't think anything compares to Toronto

The sex trade in Japan is mostly controlled by the Yakuza with Japanese women servicing Japanese men. Foreigners or gajin are mostly barred, maybe a Japanese local can vouch for a foreigner to get admission , otherwise there is a lot of xenophobia and racism against non Japanese johns. There are places that have Chinese, Korean ( same as Toronto lol) or Pinay sex workers in Japan that foreigners might be able to access. Another angle is that many civilian Japanese women have a fetish for foreigners, particularly Caucasian men and will have sex with them for free, often on the first date.

How long will you be there and can you speak Japanese ?

I heard that same thing about Japan as far as seeing Japanesse women.

How do you get to meet the local women?

I think it is really hard to meet actual Japanesse women.

Don't speak the language.

I was in Singapore recently. They have brothels that are legal and inspected by the authorities.

I went to one just to see, did not partake though.

The girls there were behind a glass window and often had a number stuck on her for someone to pick from. They were really nice looking for the most part

It is sad really I couldn't do it. Most don't speak english

They are mostly Chinese in these brothels and not local Singapore women.
I guess it is like that all over .

Germany is interesting with their big brothels.

Japan is an... interesting place.

Shinjuku is a good place to stay in Tokyo. I usually stay there when I’m in town. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping nearby, and of course, Shinjuku station, which makes it easy to get anywhere once you’ve figured out how to use the JR (protip: if you can’t figure out how much you need to pay for your ticket, but the cheapest one, then use the fare adjustment machines once you get to your destination). It’s also quite close to Kabukicho, which is basically a red light district.

Now, as far as hobbying in Japan, it’s tricky, because it’s sort of legal (paying for sexis illegal, but the legal definition of “sex” specifically means vaginal penetration, so buying a blowjob, for example, is legal), there are places like “pink salons”, which are basically blowjob parlors. As was said above, it’s mostly run by Yakuza and usually foreigners aren’t allowed in these places, but there are exceptions. There was one in Kabukicho that welcomed me (they actually had a barker outside specifically looking for tourists). It was a weird experience. There were only certain girls available to foreigners, and it was a communal room, so you’re sitting in a room getting your dick sucked with a bunch of other dudes getting the same. I had to try it once, but wasn’t for me.

There are also love hotels, which typically have escort services available to service them, specifically. If you get a room there, there will be flyers with escort ads for you to choose from in your room. I do not know if these places service foreigners or not, but you could try.

Worth noting: STIs are quite common at pink salons, including an antibiotic-resistant gonorrhoea strain that started in Japan. They do not use condoms at those places, though you can request that they do. I’d bring your own, though, because the condoms they have there are very small and probably won’t fit you.

In my opinion, Japan probably isn’t worth trying to hobby in as a foreigner. Too few options for us. You’re better off going to bars and trying to hook up with local girls. Quite a lot of them like to fuck foreign guys, it’s sort of considered a cool thing to do amongst young people over there. If you’re somewhat decent looking, aren’t too overweight, and can at least attempt to speak to them, you’ll probably be able to find some action here and there.

Hey Great info,

I am thinking seeing a sp would be a big hassel in Japan. You can't beat the Agencies in Toronto and the independents on this site

There is a web site which I am not sure I can mention "City of..." I found a few independents along with agencies. The independents do't really get back to your emails and some of the ones I found are not from Japan but Phillipines and Thailand.

I did find a couple from Japan but they were extremely expensive.

I think I will just go enjoy the sites and forget about the SP activity

Where do you go to find the local girls?

What type of bars?

I am leaning towards staying in Shibuya area, that is supposedly where the young ladies are.

I heard about those BJ places, kinda weird and not safe hygiene wise.

I wonder why that drug resistant gonorrhoea started in Japan, it seems like a conservative place.

why do you think the local girls like foreigners but not the SP. I heard that the local Japaness guys think foreigners care not clean and don't want the girls to see them

Chlamydia is also rampant. The society there tries to sugar coat the STD problems, even blaming foreigners. I know a Japanese lady visiting Canada on a visa a while back who infected at least two guys with gonorrhoea which persistented for a long time with different antibiotic treatments.

Shibuya is good for meeting cool, fashionable, trendy young types. Exactly the sort of girls you want to be looking for. Just walk around at night, check out some different bars, see where the ladies are. It’s a fun place.

Part of the reason STIs are so rampant is precisely because Japan is so conservative. The sex industry is a dirty open secret there. Everyone knows it happens, but no one wants to acknowledge it or talk about it. To do so would be to admit that something is wrong with their society, and to admit that would be to lose face. The government, and the Japanese people as a whole, prefer to just pretend it doesn’t happen. As such, nothing is ever done to improve conditions in these places. A huge percentage of salarymen do it, they get something, they go to the doctor, the doctor knows how they got it, but no one says anything. Just prescribes him some antibiotics and that’s that. They won’t regulate things because officially, this stuff doesn’t happen.

We stayed at Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku. Subway station next to the hotel.
Buy a Passamo Card and put 50 bucks on it. Use it on the subway ....tap and go.
You don't have to bother with calculating the fare for tickets and getting back coins.
Can also be used to pay in small variety stores like 7 11, which are at every corner.
Can also use it for some cabs, ask if can use Passamo. Finally, turn in your card before leaving and get any remaining money back.
Use 7 11 to take money from your bank. Shinjuku is a great area with many food options.

Hey thanks for all the advice.

I might just tour the sites of Japan and leave seeing any SP for when I get back to the Toronto area. Sounds a little risky for that in Japan
How long will you be in Japan? You are wise to concentrate on seeing the unique sites there rather than their difficult to navigate for foreigners sex trade. Foreign guys, especially those that are staying for a while, not a short trip, often score big with the ample supply of curious and neglected Japanese civilian women rather than with their prostitutes.

As an aside, there are Japanese women in Toronto on various visa with the express purpose of hooking up with Toronto guys. You could try to meet them. Many of this type of Japanese women in Toronto feel that have been passed over in Japan for whatever reasons and want a fresh start.

I will be in Japan 2 weeks.

Ya I am going to forget the SP too much trouble. There is a lot to do just trying to see the sites of Japan

I will just see what happens but don't need to stress about the SP scene in Japan. I look forward to see the culture in Shibuya

I been to Germany and Spain and tried SP there...Toronto is still the best and Toronto has great agencies on here.

Ottawa base.
As someone mention go to 7-11 to take out money, less fee and those stores are everywhere, also most of them have a really big food and drink selections for things on the go that are quite cheap..
Definitely make sure to have some cash with you always, some places will not accept credit card even in 2019 or you will be charge a really high service fee
Definitely queue for the subway and the like and dont pass in front of people.
I havent been in a few years so it may have change, but tipping in tradionial/non touristy restaurant is actually consider an insult . It show that you dont think they are paid enough for their work and stuff about honour (at least thats what I was told ) and once I tipped about 300 yens in a restaurant and the waiter ran after me in the street thinking I overpaid

Depending on how long you will be in Japan I definitely recommend the JR pass if you plan on going outside of Tokyo to other cities. When I went I think it costed me 400$ or so for 21 days worth , but that included as many train/subways ride and all. Definitely great for the Shinkasen to go to Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, Nagasaki etc

If you like anything electronics, Akihabara is AMAZING for everything that you can think of.

Also if you think the north entrance to get out, there is a 7 floor high sex store with some pretty wild stuff and right across the street another one that has all the type of porn you can imagine (Granny tied in pork intestines and gutted all over them anyone?) , thought still the usual censure for the genitals.

Ubu park is great and if you are going in two weeks you may be there for the beginning of the blooming of the Sakura flowers, there is a zoo, you can do kayak on the lake/river.

The erotic museum is also really nice if you like the edo/meiji periods erotica painting.

This... is strange. It seems so casual that it's almost intriguing.

I love Akihabara. When I went last time with my ex, we went to that huge adult goods store. Actually has a sign saying no women past a certain floor. My ex was... not good with sex. She got so upset after taking her to that store that she actually started crying. Just to give you an idea of what sort of place we’re talking about here.

But yeah, if you’re at all into video games or anime or any of that stuff, Akihabara is a must-visit. A lot of good food, too. I remember there was a ramen place around there that did a giant bowl, I think it was like 2 kilos, and if you finish it, it’s free and you get your picture on the wall. My picture is on the wall. I also like going there because I always wind up with a massive amount of change in Japan, so I go to Akihabara and use it in the gacha machines or at the arcades there. Also worth checking out the aforementioned adult good stores (there are actually quite a few around there). They have all kinds of interesting stuff. Maybe find yourself a couple toys to play with if you’re not having any luck with the ladies.

It was an interesting experience alright. When I went, it wasn’t super busy, there were like 4 other guys, all typical Japanese salarymen. We’re all in this room getting blown on these big 80s pleather couches, there’s cheesy music playing in the background. The Japanese guys were acting like this was a completely normal thing. They were almost indifferent. One guy was reading the newspaper. Pants down, getting his dick sucked, and he’s sitting there reading the paper like it’s his morning commute or something.

Very weird experience. Not for me, as I said. I finished, but it took a while, and I had to really focus on the girl and try to block out everything else going on around me.

This is a map of Shibuya. it appears to have the "Love Hotel Hill" nears the "Shibuya Crossing" and train station (Shibuya Station).
