Big day for our LBGT community. Great weather for a parade.

I don't totally agree with everything LGBT folks do and say but I wish them no harm as they wish me no harm.

Be safe everyone.

I am inclined to agree with those L who get naked in the
parade. I must admit I am not as supportive towards G.

Be safe everyone.

I shot a bunch of gay guys --- with my camera and water pistol! I found a water fountain just north of Bloor where I could reload my water pistol multiple times.

Unfortunately, the BLM group hijacked the parade to push their anti-police agenda. These BLM folks do nothing for the black communities in Jamestown, Lawrence Heights, Regent Park, Jane-Finch, etc.

P.S. There was one single guy, yes, just one out of one million attendees with an anti-gay placard. Let's hope people don't use that one single guy as proof that all Christians are anti-gay. Actually, I don't think he is even Christian. In fact, he is probably mentally ill.

BLM is in Canada also, I wasn't aware of that, what do blacks have to complain about in Canada, anywhere for that matter?

Next, BLM will hijack Caribana?

Will they attend the post parade party at Muzik as well?

There's a lot to complain about but thankfully not as much as in the US. I didn't like their being the guests of honour. Even if the BLM Canada founders are gay it takes away from the message of the event.

But still a good party.

I was at Yonge and College when they staged their sit in.

After 40 minutes or whatever it was everyone including other marchers were yelling at them to move. Fortunately once they had moved on the parade got back on track and to its intended purpose.

I think they do have some valid complaints but I don't think it was fair of them to try and hijack pride parade.

But I'd rather focus on sending the LGBT community positive vibes.

What are their complaints, blacks kill each other at an alarming rate, it's an old argument but if they don't care about each other, why should we?

When was the last controversial murder of a black person in Canada by a cop, or has there ever been one? The movement is all hood rats, most regular blacks don't even identify with BLM imo.

It's a pretty big brush you're using when you say "they don't care about each other"

Here are some quotes from an article https://www.thestar.com/opinion/com...ting-experience-of-being-black-in-canada.html

And in Hamilton, the local police service is denying that racism plays any role in the fact that its own stats evidence that officers disproportionately target, stop, question and collect the personal information of young black people in that city.

As such, we find it impossible to accept today’s black Canadian experience: extreme marginalization and disadvantage; restricted access to housing; racial profiling in policing, security, education and child welfare; criminalization; over-representation in the criminal justice system; high levels of unemployment; and disproportionate and extreme poverty.

Are these controversial and recent enough?

Jermaine Carby, 33, was fatally shot by the police in September 2014 after he was pulled over in a city outside Toronto and, the police said, he refused to drop a knife. Investigators from the provincial Special Investigations Unit, an independent civilian agency that examines serious injuries, sexual assaults and deaths involving the police, did not find a knife at the scene. A police sergeant turned one in several hours later, in what the unit’s director later described as evidence tampering. None of the officers involved in the episode were charged, disciplined or even identified publicly.

Andrew Loku, 45, a mentally ill black man who had immigrated from South Sudan, was shot dead outside his apartment in July after he refused to put down a hammer. A few days after his death, protesters blocked a local highway and demanded that the officers be identified and charged

Jermaine Carby had outstanding warrants for his arrest in British Columbia.

Hmmm, so he is an accused murderer.

” … VANCOUVER — A violent drug trafficker charged with killing a man and beating two women may have many more victims, police say.

A violent drug trafficker who killed a person … possible more victims

Vancouver Police Insp. Brad Desmarais appealed today to people in the Downtown Eastside to come forward if they have been victimized by Jermaine Anthony Carby.

Carby was charged with manslaughter Sept. 9 in the stabbing death Gerald Haakmat in Oppenheimer Park June 1.

Was also previously charged with killing a person

But the VPD investigation has shown he has terrorized others for drug debts, Desmarais said.

Previously terrorized other over drug debts .. enforcer

“This past Monday, Jermaine Carby was also charged for allegedly assaulting two women in the Downtown Eastside in late August,” he said.

Has assaulted at least two other women

“We believe there are more victims out there who are too afraid to come forward, so today we are taking the extraordinary step of releasing a photograph of Jermaine Carby and making an appeal to the community to bring forward information about him to police.”

Desmarais said Carby uses several different street names, “so we know that by releasing his photograph we will have a better chance of learning valuable information that will help move forward additional ongoing investigations.”

In typical criminal fashion, he used aliases

He said Carby has a criminal record dating back to 2000 in Ontario and has had over 100 contacts with VPD since then.

Lengthy criminal record

“Despite the fact that Jermaine Carby has a residential address in Surrey, he is one of the most well known street level enforcers in the Downtown Eastside, with a long history of violence, drug trafficking and drug possession,” Desmarais said, adding that Carby has been charged 28 times in the past.

Long history of violence , drug trafficking, enforcer

“It has long been known that people living in the Downtown Eastside fear reprisal for talking to the police. Sadly, violence against women here often goes unreported and remains underground, with many suffering at the hands of ruthless drug dealers, he said.

“Violent drug dealers can exist with impunity in this community and commit violent acts against women and men alike, because they know people are too afraid to talk to police.”

Desmarais said that because Carby is now locked up, it is safe for people to come forward.

“Now is the time for the community to have a voice, and fight back against the fear and intimidation that these drug dealers thrive on,” Desmarais said.

“Information can be reported through 9-1-1, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the Sister Watch Tip Line at 604-215-4777.” … “

Oh yes, he was a good little boy , cops clearly had no reason to fear for their safety … NOT .

Never said he was a good boy. But what about the knife that went missing for over an hour? Did the police know his past? Even so is that grounds to gun him down?

Some reports suggest that if he wasn't carded he would still be alive. So the question is was there a reason to card him?

This is a question of how the police handled a situation, not the person's past.
