I read in a research paper that cannabis smoke is three time as carcinogenic as tobacco smoke.
You're under-estimating totalitarian regimes capacity for suppressing the truth or "erasing" history, it's been 30+ years since Tiananmen and we still don't know the exact death toll of the massacres. I don't believe a word those despicable CCP bullies say.

It's probably because he has such a vacuous personality that it's like there's really no one there.
They may have worn masks during the height of the outbreak, but they're not worn as frequently right now.
Especially not by young people. And all this while the virus is still going around.

Markets, bars and restaurants are crowded again. Local virus transmissions are near zero. But some worry that people are letting their guard down too soon.
How did we first hear about the virus? That's right, information leaked that a town in China was having some sort of outbreak.
Does China tell the truth? No, but you can only lie for so long. If things were still out of control we would know.
The truth is China has everyone's money and everyone's manufacturing. They had everything need to respond properly.
I've been to Hong Kong and Bangkok (also Phuket).
This was 15 years ago though, so not sure how much has changed
Unlike 1989 millions now have cell phones and internet access so yes eventually we will know or piece things together.
They responded "properly" once they implemented a strict lockdown enforced by army/police checkpoints, this is not something that
liberal democracies can stomach, this was my point, and not that things are out of control over there or they don't have what's needed
to respond properly.
We're only disputing China's official claims and data, the CCP assholes cannot be believed and their word should never be taken at face value.
To most mainland Chinese Tiananmen is more an embarrassment
than a traumatic event. To those mainlanders who've suffered from oppression of the communist party or those who are familiar with its
history of brutality Tiananmen is child's play unworthy of remembrance.
If the Chinese government did indeed know the number of people
killed at the time of Tiananmen I don't see why they would ever
feel the need to disclose it. After the 1989 crackdown pretty much
all of the reformists in the party were purged. Somehow there are
party members from the reformist camp like Wen Jiabo who managed
to rise to prominence after a decade. PRC is ruled by an authoritarian
government but members within the communist party can still
speak about Tiananmen openly. If no one talks about the event
you can rest assured that they will never feel obliged to have to
tell you the exact death toll of the massacre (assuming they
actually even bothered to keep track of it). Tiananmen is not
as significant an event as people from Hong Kong made it out
to be,
